The passengers of a KLM flight from Amsterdam to Birmingham were suddenly horrified
by a massive bang or boom that shook the whole airplane last Friday, March 28, 2014 just
before landing.

What just did happen?

That’s what the pilot announced calmly:

" Ladies and gentlemen, you may have noticed that we were just hit by lightning ".

Here a video of a lightning bolt striking a plane during flight in 2013.
Something like what happened last March 28, 2014.

All big airplanes have protection systems oriented that if impact rays
Only "exit and enter" in the aircraft through fuselage.

Life inside the airplane is not damaged.

The body of the airplane is usually constructed of aluminum, metal that
conducts electricity very well.
