JavLuv JAV Browser

Hello @TmpGuy, thank you for the update. I have 2 questions, the new update mentioned about dependent packages, what is that? Is it just for internal programming or some feature (for user) got updated?

Also, for actress detail view, is it possible to make the horizontal separator be adjustable? I just noticed that the list of movies are only shown for 1 row. I use laptop with HD monitor only. I think the space for movie list is too small.

That's just an idea, maybe you can consider about it. Anyway I really thankful for the update.

Yeah, the dependencies are just internal maintenance. It just means internal bug and security fixes for third-party packages JavLuv uses.

It looks like the actress view doesn't scale relative to height. I'll see what I can do to fix that. Thanks for the report.

I would like to use your code to get description (not title) for a movie code. Can you show me where is it?

Firstly, I would like to thank You, for creating this browser. It's excellent.
Secondly; I was wondering, would it be possible to add an option of subtitle downloads into JavLuv in the future?

You've very welcome. Glad you're enjoying it.

As far as subtitles go, the big problem is I wouldn't know a reliable place to download them from. I've actually maintained a collection of subtitles myself for people to download and import from. I actually use JavLuv to organize them, but the functionality isn't all that well documented, and a bit hard to use. It's kind of the same reason JavLuv doesn't download movies... it would be too hard to find a reliable way to do this, and there's no easy way to choose the version (or quality) people would like. So, probably the best to hope for is improvements to the subtitle organization and management functionality.

Here's a link to a collection of 34K subtitles, organized and sorted by JavLuv. If you unzip this collection, point JavLuv at it, then you can have JavLuv show you which movies have subtitles available for them. As I said, the procedure is sort of clunky, but I document it earlier in this thread, and I think in the online documentation as well.

I don't retrieve a field called "description." Can you describe what you mean exactly?

On DMM website, they usually write description (or plot, summary, etc). Do you get this information from other websites?

For example, SONE-622 has this description
In order to get a hold of an anonymous, mobile crime group, investigator Asuha Mitsuha plans to arrest a group of molesters, but is forced to step down due to a false arrest. Still, she sets out on an undercover operation alone, driven by her sense of justice, but it turns out to be a trap... Mitsuha fails in the undercover operation and is given a muscle relaxant, rendering her immobile. Still, she maintains a strong, noble heart that refuses to give in, but she is worn down unknowingly by the gang r*** of the sleazy men that wears down her mind and body... Her body falls despite her desire to punish them. When a woman who was supposed to never succumb falls, an unimaginable eroticism is released. Rapture and explosion.

Also, JavLibrary has been using Cloudflare to block web scraper and block rapid request in short time. Can you bypass this limit?

Thank you, TmpGuy, these subtitles will definitely come in handy.

I understand what you mean. I was wondering if there was a repository where we could point to in order to download refined subtitles, or something like that, but I'm afraid something like that just simply... doesn't exist.

I guess majority of people watch JAV just for sex, and not really for the plot ;).

As for downloading movies, that would be an interesting feature, but I don't think the app would really benefit from this function, quite to the contrary - it could become a nightmare with copyrights.

I'm not sure if you've seen it, but there's a thread for those of us who enjoy subtitles for understanding the movie plots as well, some of which can be fairly creative. I've contributed over a dozen subtitles for my favorite movies as well.

Depending on your definition of "refined" if you haven't seen it I have posted about 20K JAV srt files with accompanying covers in both the Gokkun thread and the Subtitles thread. Take a loook here: https://www.akiba-online.com/thread...-request-thread.1466451/page-371#post-4909687 Perhaps that will give you at least a few usable subs. Cheers.

Hey, I just stumbled onto this. I really like it but i'm trying to consolidate everything for emby. I used to use JAVmoviescraper but it sadly doesn't work anymore, but I loved it because it scraped the "poster" and the "fanart" that worked perfect for emby. Is there a way to grab the "poster" image that javluv uses? Also, is there a way to add the code to the beginning in the .nfo and force genre naming for everything in a folder? For instance, if I have a folder with all decensored videos to have them all labeled as decensored genre. Thanks!

I may be misunderstanding your request to "grab the poster image" but if you are talking about the cover image that will be in the same folder as the video file, with the same name. You can easily copy that image if you want to use it elsewhere.
There are a few ways to accomplish your naming issue. You can manually edit the .nfo data in JavLuv. Just open the file in question. Make sure to double click the thumbnail of the video cover which will open that file's sub-directory, and onthe Right side of the movie data you can add details, for instance, you could add DeCensored to the Genre information and then a search in Javluv will bring up everything that has decensored somewhere in the file description or .nfo data.

Depending upon your application though here is a much better solution. In windows explorer browse to the parent directory of your file, your folder (Decensored) will be listed in the subfolders. Right click on the decensored folder and choose "Copy as path". Now go back to javluv and in the search bar paste that folder path that you copied, now Javluv will only display the contents of that folder. This, for me, is easier than doing a lot of editing. Let me know if you need more detail or someone with better technical knowledge. Cheers.

One other option you could do but it is a bit convoluted if you already have the files scanned. You could delete the metadata for all of the files that you want to change. Then if they are all in the same folder use a renaming program. I use Renamer Lite. You can configure it to add whatever you like to the end of the file, be careful not to add to the beginning because you will have to unfuck that.

A good practice is to look at the preview to make sure the files are named like youwant. Anyway, use the renaming tool to add some code/word/symbol, whatever it is that will indicate some special attribute that you want to be able to search for. YOu coule add a word or several words, depending on your file structure. IN any case, rename to filenames of those files andthen re-scan them back into Javluv, now when you do a search you can search for one or more of those words you added to the file name. IF you decide to go with the last option you can get renamer lite here: https://renamer-lite.en.softonic.com/?ex=RAMP-3385.4&rex=true There's other places to download it too. Play with it a bit to get acclimated and make sure to look at the preview before you click change. Cheers. Good luck.

One last little thing, if you decide to use renamer, open the program. In the top window either right click in the open space or double click in the open space, Choose "insert" then on the Right side in the "insert" window type the word or words that you want to add to the end of the file, and them make sure to select "suffix" now click "add Rule" (once you start to play with the program you can add multiple rules but for now stick with the renaming. NOw hit the add folders button and browse to your target folder. Now click preview to make sure that the results (in blue) are what you want. IF they are, click rename. now have javluv rescan the folder and all of your appended names will show up when you search for that name. Sorry about the long dialog.

The cover image is "poster" for what i'm used to and the cover image seems to be saved in appdata instead of the file location. I found an easy enough but tedious way to add the ID to the title and editing the genre. I dont code so scripting is alien to me and manually editing is all i can do, just asking if there might be a better way lol. Here's a sample of what emby uses, bif is used for preview thumbnails, then -fanart is full dvd cover and -poster is the cover art. I just like everything to look the same. As you can see, ABF-183 doesn't show the cover image but the full dvd cover is perfectly fine when I click into it.

I used to do this by using notepad++. I open all the nfo files which is needed, and use find and replace function from that. But I think you need to know at least a little basic of using script. If you want to try, make sure to backup your nfo files first.

The poster is indeed saved internally, not in the folder of the movie. I don't know why you need that, but I think it is programmed internally by TmpGuy to cutout the cover dvd and saved it only internally to show it at the browser view. The ID of the movie can be shown by enabling the Show ID check box on the left pane of JavLuv. The problem with the poster image shown in the browser view, I have experience them before. I just deleted the poster image used for the movie in the appData folder, then do a rescan of the movie. It should work as long as the name of the poster file is the same as the movie ID (or any setting you have done in JavLuv).

That's all there is. JavLuv just displays the right half of that picture for use in the browser view. If you want just the front cover, you can use any photo editing software (like MS Paint) to crop and save just the right half.

From what TmpGuy said previously, the poster isn't saved, it's just taken from the cover picture automatically.

I have made a software that crops and saves the poster since I do use kodi/emby myself that might interest you though: https://www.akiba-online.com/thread...-kodi-style-poster-files-from-covers.2173357/

It's not quite finished, but it is fully functional, latest version is in this post: https://www.akiba-online.com/thread...poster-files-from-covers.2173357/post-4901138
