I understand there are diff sections, but since the traffic on either section (especially here), I wouldn't mind more (JAV) ID questions get posted here, kind of a slight distraction and sometimes a good discussion does come out of an ID question.

My experience is that it happens very seldom. In most cases you see people posting for the 1st or 2nd time having some question, the question gets answered and that's it. If someone thinks it is worth a thread in this section (e.g. like the thread [THREAD=1029204]The Good, the Bad, the Ugly and the Tubby! (And: Film ID)[/THREAD]) it isn't a problem at all to open a thread here JAV Discussion section and set a link.
