Plot:
Reflecting current society, the yakuza world also entered a period when local, small organizations needed to deepen their ties with Japan�s larger families for their survival and expansion. This is the story of what happen to a smaller yakuza family when those ties were broken.
The split between the smaller and larger families developed into a battle that rocked the foundations of the Asada gang� Hiroki Matsukata stars as Noboru Kawada, a Hokuriku yakuza who uses any measure for survival, disregarding his much larger parent family, brothers, and tradition.

This can pretty much be summed up as "small town gangsters vs. big city gangsters." If you've seen any of Kinji Fukasaku's other yakuza pictures, like the Battles Without Honor & Humanity series or Yakuza Graveyard, you'll know what to expect in terms of pacing, camera-work, and storytelling style.
