Summary
Reinhard von Musel is the son of a poor aristocratic family. When moving into his new home, he makes an instant friendship with his neighbour, a boy named Siegfried Kircheis. Together under the watchful eye of his sister Annerose, they live a blessed time; but when his sister is taken away to be the consort of the Emperor, Reinhard is furious. He joins the military - and induces Kircheis to follow - so that he can right such wrongs. Becoming young commanders, they go to Iserlohn Fortress to defend it against the Free Planets Alliance.
