HF files are currently coming in at about 330kb/sec in this corner of North America so, unlike some of the other hosts, you won't have time to watch the extended cut of Lord of the Rings while waiting for the damn things to download.

Yes they download quickly, but you have to wait 30 min. between parts, so that slows down the whole process. I guess I'll just have to watch the theatrical release version while it downloads. andalaugh:

It's not that I've become a born-again booster of Hotfile, but compared to the hosts that are being used following the Megaupload shut-down -- with their 40-70kb/sec download speeds (and you gotta love the ones that start you off at 200kb+ and then sleaze you down to, like, 30kb for the next hour) -- it's lookin' pretty good by comparison.

Umm...I guess it depends on your internet speed. It only took me like 10 minutes to download. Hotfile is the best right now AFAIC.

I've been looking for a better downloader and think I found it with Jumbofiles.

I'm on a private lesbian site and some have just started using it. It loads in MiPony just fine and downloads multiple files at a time. Looks promising.

As for all those re-ups folks are asking me for, what with the problems of late with most all downloaders, I've been reluctant to post. It is a lot of work for 'nothing' except to help guys beat off.

When I think of all the problems you've dealt with in the last--what?--ten months (the first Hotfile mass-deletions, the search for alternative boards when Fileserve was banned here, urdx.com's pissy thing about censored JAV--what the fuck was that about, anyway?--and then all the problems following MU's pole-axeing by the feds) I'm amazed at how you've soldiered on and resisted the temptation to go to predatory hosts like (m)Oron.

Big thanks to you, slimedog, and let's hope things get back to some sort of new-normal such that you'll be able to feel confident about posting again.
