Synopsis
In a small village in the mountains of Fukui Prefecture, a newly appointed doctor, Nakamura Shinichi (Koike Teppei) and his newly wed wife (Kimura Fumino) have arrived. With the guidance of Roku-san (Ogata Issey) a "walking dictionary" of the village, they started a new life. As he faces the harsh reality of regional medicine and struggles daily as “the only doctor in the village”, his initial intention of “going back to city after a few years” started to change gradually. - Translated by Danburi.
Note from Danburi: Dorokuta is a local dialect for that area and it means mischievous or naughty but I think it's more like a rebel. Since the doctor used to play rock & roll, the man called him that. The doctor replied he's not a Dorokuta, but a doctor. So it became Doroctor.
