I have no idea who Mayu Kotono is. I guess I have some idea now, but not before I threw the name into Google.
I presume you did this homework as well, Benimarunikaido, so I doubt I'll be telling you anything you do not know. I looked at Mayu's Asian Screens page (a site that I find invaluable for its translated titles and screen shots), with the knowledge that their actress pages are far from comprehensive. But I got a preliminary idea about where Mayu was coming from, and I sensed trouble.

Many of her films are of the hour-length kind, which I am aware goes into a category that is different from the norm.
The trouble was confirmed when I threw one or two (there were not many) of her normal length movies into DMM, and nothing came up. I finally found her DMM page through the back door, but it is different than the normal DMM actress page.

There are reasons for these peculiarities, but they go beyond my JAV knowledge. I wondered, perhaps she is not considered the usual hardcore actress, but may belong to the subcategories I know pitifully little about, such as "gravure." But that crappy Wikipedia site claimed on its "Attackers" page that Mayu had once appeared in an Attackers movie, so scratch that theory. (Whatever this Attackers movie was, I have a feeling it did not come up on Mayu's DMM page.)
But no matter, the point is to find a list of the films of an actress that we like, and at least such lists are available. Then it becomes a matter of trying out whether the titles are available. But I don't need to tell you that.
I have a feeling because these are out-of-the-ordinary movies, often with unfamiliar DVD codes, the going is not going to be easy, as with regular JAV titles. (Not that the search for regular JAV titles is always easy, as we all know.) One page that arbitrarily came up during the search for her name was this one:

I know from the other pages that came up, Mayu is just shy of thirty-five years of age, if the reported information is correct. That tells us her heyday is behind her. The above page provides a confirmation, given that this particular torrent (and even a non-torrenter as myself can figure this out) is years old, and probably isn't a live one. But wasn't the message to "seeders and leechers" nice and hopeful? "You can still try it though."
Her movies may not be easy to find, given that most are old and not customary, but at least she has a bunch of them, increasing your odds of finding something, once you go through them (or at least the ones you may be interested in) one by one.
EDIT: Noticed another thread Benimarunikaido put up regarding this topic, "Anyone knows where to find old classic javs produced in the 90s?" (Okay... that tells me the brunt of Mayu's work was from the 1990s, which was in the last century. A few of the titles I clicked on showed 2002, 2007... I didn't think she was that much of an old-timer.) Member Chrisfallout kindly responded and suggested Asian Screens (Asian Screens is a vendor, though; the downloads they offer will not be for free), and Benimarunikaido replied, "Asianscreen doesn't offer torrent downloads." (Doesn't Chrisfallout still deserve a gesture of appreciation for taking his precious time to respond, for the benefit of another? I tell ya, sometimes people answer in ways as though they were entitled to get the exact response they were looking for, otherwise, watch out.)
I would think the idea is to get one's hands on these rare and hard to find movies, no matter how one may get them.

I remeber Mayu Kotono! She was one of the actresses I remember liking when I first came to Japan, in 2001 or so. Not one of my very favorites, but I remember watching a bunch of her movies.
The movies aren't "peculiar," they're just old. DVDs didn't become the industry standard for Japanese porn until the mid-2000s. When she was making movies, they were still filmed with VHS as the main format, so 1 hour was about the standard length.
I think I did have some videos of her that I transferred from VHS to DVD but they seem to be gone now. There were some DVDs that I just lost before I knew how to transfer to a computer due to scratching, and some that I just didn't bother with. Because back then, the video quality was just so poor compared to now. Not to mention the sex wasn't very hot. Most videos from that era just seem very cold and businesslike.
MDW-029... If it's the one with her being fucked by black men, I remember it not being very good. She wasn't very responsive to the sex, and about all I really remember is a scene where she's kneeling and holding a bowl as the black guys jizz on her face. No one really seemed to be enjoying themselves. About the only thing I did like was that there was this one part where you hear some real moaning and the camera cuts to what is apparently one of the black guys fucking one of the "fluffer" girls on a nearby sofa, and she actually seems to be getting into it. Then he just pulls out, walks over to Mayu, and busts a nut on her face.
Mayu is very pretty and has a nice body, but unfortunately none of her videos were all that good. Combined with the poor video quality, I imagine I just deleted all of them.
Old videos like that are extremely hard to find! You might want to check out the collection MIBD-681, which has her listed so it probably includes part of the movie you're looking for.
Also she has an uncensored video, "Magic Banana 16" (MB-016). Do you have this video? It actually looks pretty good. I plan on searching for it, and if I find links somewhere I will post them.
