A software to sort out videos

Hi
I was wondering if you had a software to sort all your jav videos out.
My collection is in an external drive, and I wanted to know if there was a software to sort them out and to quickly find a video (by girl, company, kind of stuff etc.), after having entered the good information for all videos obviously.
It's almost as Windows Media Player, but I don't like it and it works only for videos which are on my computer...
Maybe some people have created freewares like that... I hope you've understood me.

3 possible answers, in my opinion:

- Make you own database, using tags. With Microsoft Access for example.

- Install some software managing collections with tags. Search the net for that, i don't use that, so i can't help.

- Copernic desktop search, which also uses tags and indexes to find files faster. (But it's not free anymore, i think)
