Synopsis / Plot / Review
Inmate 1316 is sent to the Island, Japan's toughest prison for the most notorious female prisoners, and realizes the place is even worse than its reputation -- nobody except the guards ever leaves alive. As she uncovers one terrible secret after another, including graveyards and unauthorized executions, she decides to fight back with every weapon she can find in this Japanese action thriller by Sadaaki Haginiwa.

For those who care about technical details, the original DVD was 30fps but it was shot with a 24fps camera, converted to 30fps and then the credits were added. That means me restoring it to 24 fps will make the credits scroll be a little choppy but the rest of the movie will flow smoother on a modern screen since the repeat frames are gone.
I denoised it a little and deinterlaced the credits instead of reversing the telecine on them so they won't look horrible even if they flow a bit weird.
Due to the denoising, the resolution being a bit smaller than normal since it is widescreen letterboxed in a fullscreen aspect ratio and using x265 which has very good compression, the size is quite small even though the quality is about as good as it can be with the poor quality of the source.
I also retimed and slightly edited the subtitles so if anyone doesn't like that, I've written the subtitle offset I used from the official subs which are easy to find and if you add that delay to them, it'll match my version since I trimmed the gp museum intro.
