learning Japanese?
i finished first year japanese, what we practically learn at first was learn how to read katakana and hiragana, then a few basic kanji i too recommend you use wakan as your japanese dictionary and go to japanesepod101.com to learn some survival phrases =] thats all i can think of, good luck when...- ajt
