You're gonna have to be a bit more specific since there's multiple versions. In short, you extract the audio from the video, feed it to whisper(upload first if using the collab) and that's it. After that you can fiddle with settings or process the audio first if need be.

No, it's basically a text file so you can see everything that's in there by opening it with any text editor. Other than that, it only has the basic information any file has like size, creation date and that kind of stuff, nothing that can trace it back to where it was created.

Any file metadata is inside that file so nothing happens to it when you compress them, everything stays as-is. With that said, I don't think srts contain any metadata, unless you mean the file creation date.
