I do some translations myself (just few titles) and I was able to compare couple of movies like WANZ-950. The only thing that was worth it was the timecode (maybe 80% was good). The auto translated english didn't make any sense, so I re-created them by doing a manual and human translation. So...

If I'm not wrong, they are done this way : auto caption to get japanese subs > machine translation to chinese. Because many have missing parts, and the japanese subs are also often wrong too. So imagine how fucked up the english versions are lol.
