I don't think this applies when it comes to S1 celebration titles. Stars of the caliber of Sora Aoi, Mihiro, Yuma Asami, Minori Hatsune took part in them, as they were seen as a show of force by the lead studio in the industry, and starring in them was a sign of status and popularity.

Very few studios still use actual buses/trains as far as I know, and they are on the lower end of the spectrum. Most AAA studios which used to film in actual buses/trains (SoD, Alice Japan that I can recall for certain) stopped doing that a while ago if I'm not mistaken. Although to be honest...
