Besides system load the other thing that slows down firefox are the addons themselves. It's not always like 30++ add ons to load either, there's lots of specific ones that will make your start up crawl probably. Torbutton is a good example for people that use Tor. Start up firefox with it...

Most of the members got it through making free users suffer with sets of 30++ 100mb files uploaded to each service.. Go through the rapidshare thread around here, it's the same, they'll still deny it, but it's the truth, the services are awful but people use them to try and get a premium...

Never really experienced that.. Maybe when I was like burning something to a disc, extracting a large .rar or 7zip file, and had a HD .mkv playing, but only then... At that point it's for other reasons..

Strangely there isn't really a "single" program to handle all the video editing. Have to use about 4+ different ones for each file type. Not to mention running into strange codecs or badly encoded ones and needing yet another program.
