I don't know if it's Fanza's fault or the person downloading the video, but the image quality of the 8K version is quite mediocre, due to the very low bitrate. The image blurs in the middle distance, and that should not happen in an 8K video.

Yes, Fanza has DRM, it only lets you use its player. HereSphere allows streaming directly from the website of some stores, but with Fanza I don't think so. Personally what I do is to buy the titles I like on Fanza, but only as a support. Then I download them from here, and play them locally...

If you have used FANZA's own player, it is low quality, 8K looks like 4K. Try using a good player like HereSphere, it improves the picture quality a lot. This player has a sharpening mode that further enhances definition.
