Only if your disk is nearly full. Then yes, it will slow down your computer if that is the only disk you have as the O/S requires space for temporary files, cache, swap etc. Usually your computer will warn you when you're running out of space, no matter the O/S.

Your posts won't be restored. The same thing happened to me, I lost all posts since 2007. A bot does the auto banning. It usually is triggered when you post something that shouldn't be (such as cashlinks).
