Oculus just announced the Oculus Go a standalone VR headset capable of playing the majority of the GearVr apps. The Go uses better lens than the Rift and uses a 1440p LCD panel, with fast switching and high pixel fill factor. Price is $199 and releases sometime early next year. Been waiting...
