Most likely the problem is coming from the Window preview that appears in the left panel. I remember i had that problem, and did about what C00Lzero mentioned. But i've just seen that when browsing the net. Open Start menu -> run -> type that command in the box "regsvr32 /u shmedia.dll"...

You lost me a bit there ^^; Is it working now? So well, when i meant infos about the vid, i expected something like codecs used to encode it, bitrate, etc... You can find those informations by installing Gspot and opening the video inside that app. But with the latest codecs, it's hard to...

I don't want to brag, but use punctuations next time^^ So the file is the movie, right? Most likely there is a problem with codecs, causing explorer to close itself. First you should give us informations about that video, then updating your codecs, for example by installing CCCP codec pack.

Most likely a codec problem there. Install CoreAVC as i said, and also use the "re-register filters" option in CCCP control panel.

Hmm.. I like Amagami too, and i'm watching the mkv 720p version, without any problem. Try installing CoreAVC 2.0 to decode h264 instead of using ffdshow that comes with CCCP codec pack.

To be honest, you don't really need subtitles to fap :pandalaugh: But i do agree it would be interesting sometimes...

Hmm, with such specs, it should definitely work. Did you try to download them again? Maybe some parts were corrupted, leading to some problems... If the problem persists, try installing Gspot and analyze those two videos. Maybe it'll tell you what's the cause.

With the latest CCCP codec pack, it should work without problem, except if the video has a high bitrate that you comuter can't handle, making the audio and/or video lag. Tell us what are your computer specifications please. :puzzled:

I don't really get you... Why do you want to go to such extent to erase useless programs? Simply clicking "uninstall" and doing defragmentation is enough in most cases.

A Mds file is an "image file", meaning a copy of a DVD/CD/Bluray. On your computer, it's like a big container with the files inside. There's no point in converting an avi file to MDS. Simply burn that avi file on a CD or DVD and it'll play on your DVD player. (assuming the codec is recognized...

If that video codec is divx or xvid, you don't have to make a conversion to dvd player compliant format, since most of them can read them.

You can see the contents of that mds file by mounting it with daemon tools. And i made a mistake, what i wanted to say was DVD-rip and not DVD-iso. Sorry for that little confusion :bow-pray:

Yeah exactly. You have to choose "burn an image file", and then you'll be able to play that movie on your DVD player. (assuming the mds IS a DVD-ISO, and your player can play dvd-r)

Did you try to delete your cookies, logging out then relogging, or maybe flush your dns cache?

Try running winrar with applocale, but the results can be... surprising ;) 7zip seems to handle japanese passwords more easily, maybe you should use it to extract the files...

So, can you tell us which game is causing you these problems? And also tell us your computer specifications. Two possible reasons (in my opinion) : - Maybe you need to (re)install directx9. - Maybe your comp is too old to handle the game.

If the screen remains black, it's most certainly a missing codec. I suggest you installing CCCP Codec pack, you can find it at http://cccp-project.net Install it, and use MPC HC isntead of VLC (definitely better, in my opinion)
