Before I got my VR headset and was still watching normal AV, most of my favorite girls are in Moodyz.

Is moodyz the consensus best studio? I've been only focused on SIVR and KAVR, perhaps time to look at the MDVR line up

Her Faleno VRs are good, but they are standard VRs: one setup, two scenes, and only 2 or 3 positions. This Moodyz VR seems much more varied.

This is a difficult question. I don't think there is one studio that is superior to others, there are several that release very good titles, and also some mediocre ones.

For me SIVR has lost a lot in the last two years, they are releasing many titles with only 2 or 3 positions, and little immersion. The only thing that saves them are their exclusive girls. But once in a while they combine one of these girls with a good shooting, and some impressive title comes out. The same happens with KAVR.

For me Moodyz VR is among the best. They release few titles and some not very interesting, but from time to time they film some "special" ones, with 5 scenes, many different positions and set-ups, intense and immersive sex, and the movie lasts 2 hours. This one from Arina looks like one of those.

As far as I've been seen, it doesn't depend so much on the studio, as on the director of the movie. In Japan there are 2 or 3 very good VR directors, who understand VR and make very immersive movies, and 10 or 12 mediocre ones. And most of these directors rotate through all the studios.

An example is Yazawa Receives / Receive / Receiver , for me the best VR director in the world. He rotates through all the studios and that's why every now and then he comes out with some awesome title in SOD VR, KAVR, URVRSP and others. ZAMPA is also very good... when he wants to, or when they let him. He mixes awesome movies with not so good ones.

I definitely agree with you, only every so often I'll find a scene that I think is AWESOME and save worthy. Then I realized I should just filter by performer.. which then led to a huge spike in my library.

Rino Yuki was one where I just had to grab everything I could find. KAVR-184 where the actress is in a kimono and tied up is just chefs kiss. Think Momo Sakura has a similar scene.

A lot of studios kinda blend together to me, except a few. SIVR and IPVR because of their exclusive talent, HUNVR and OYCVR because they do a lot of group scenes, JUVR because of their focus on mature performers. And there's some studios i know to mostly avoid, like Aqua, Casanova or Koala
One of my favorites by Yazawa is DSVR-1071, a foursome with Ena Koume, Rino Yuki and Tsuji Honoka. He directed a bunch of great group scenes around that time, definitely worth checking out.

I haven't found a lot of group scenes that I enjoy - or rather I avoid them because usually it's 1 cute performer and 2 struggling ones. It becomes too distracting and sometimes takes away from the sensual environment. Which group scenes are top of your list?

I found one today that Erica Ozaki is in which looks perfect, but rarely do I look at a group scene and get excited. There was one that Mao Hamasaki and I think Sarina Momo was in, but I struggle to find that scene in my library to this day

For intimacy and sensuality 1 on 1 is always king. I enjoy group scenes mainly for the over the top experiences and interesting scenarios. If there's 3+ girls it's rare to like all if them, but i will usually still watch it, just because it's something different.

I don't know what you're into, but here are some scenes i come back to often:

PRVR-029 with Aika Yamagishi and Yuki Takeuchi - top tier performers from Premium studio;

DANDYHQVR-014 - great foursome with three sets of big titties in your face. I'm especially a fan of Hono Wakamiya here, but all three girls are great.

Haha, when I said she was wasted at Faleno, its cos I didn't really like their JAV titles. There's something about how they shoot them. Barely any first person view. A bit too artsy and softer, as though they're making porn for women.

I won't say they are, I just really like many of their exclusive girls and thus I like many of their JAV titles.

That said, I think their VR titles are mostly above average in quality when they can be bothered to shoot them. They attract top talent and they have varied angles though time spent on them can be a little short. Their extended VR videos (those with more than 3 clips) are often really good.

The MDVR titles I really liked:

MDVR-132 - Tsubomi and Kanon Urara both live in your apartment complex. Tsubomi and is supposedly married, Urara has a boyfriend. Both of them cheat on their partners with you. Individually at first, than Urara stumbles in on Tsubomi giving you a blowjob and shoves her aside to prove she is better. Fun ensues.

MDVR-148 - Any video with Nagase Yui and Matsumoto Ichika togethjer in it is gold. This one also has a thicc Oka Erina in it to add some variety. Also, seifukus.

MDVR-166 - Ono Rikka as an obedient maid. I like all her MDVR titles but there's just something about seeing a young girl in a g-string cleaning your carpet.

MDVR-178 - Shirato Hana isn't a Moodyz exclusive girl but this title they shot with her is her best VR, IMHO. Its quite long, has different outfits, and multiple angles. It just goes to show how good Moodyz can be when they can be buggered to make VR.

MDVR-200 - Ichika and Yui's last VR together before Yui retired. They've always worked well together but this title gives you a nice view of each girl sticking their tongue into the other's coochie. Nice.

MDVR-195/248 - Ishikawa Mio's only VR titles so far. She better damn well shoot more.

MDVR-248 - Miyashita Renan's only VR. There also needs to be more.

I also have Yagi Nana's and Nanasawa Mia's titles in VR. Its great to see them in VR but I think both those titles are otherwise a little disappointing.

Watched DSVR-01128 today and they got together an outstanding trio. All of them very pretty and appealing and well-matched in size and level of attractiveness. No distracting "competition for the guy" overacting. The first scene when they take turns sucking cock is really good with nice eye contact and kissing.

BUT, unfortunately the second scene changes something that made it lose appeal for me. Even though the girls ramp it up in terms of sex, for some reason, now they are never making eye contact with the camera.

For some reason, now they are always staring off the side of the camera. It seems like maybe they set up a screen there or maybe they are now making eye contact with the male actor instead of the camera. It's incredibly distracting and completely pulls you out of immersion. Weird how much of an effect it has when I don't find it as much of a problem in regular 2D JAV.

The other "could have been better" was that the whole video was straight taking turns with the guy while the other two played with his nipples. There was no girl-girl interaction and no creative positions where more than one girl was doing anything else than nipple play or ear whispering. There wasn't even a two-girl or three-girl blow job, which is standard in JAV or VR's with more than one girl.

It's usually not the girls' fault, they're not looking at the actor. It's the fault of the film editing. The 3D image is made up of 2 images with slightly different angles, and when the girls look at the camera, only one of those images is seen from the front, the other is a bit sideways.

Surely what has happened is that they have mounted the images upside down, giving priority to the side image instead of the front, that's why they seem to look somewhere else. I have seen it in several movies.

I have watched SIVR-320. You were right @Itsabiggapepperoni, Miyu Kiyohara is awesome... Her tits are impressive, but her eyes have also hypnotized me... are of an unusual light color you can only appreciate on VR.

I liked the movie, I missed more sex (there is only penetration in the last scene), but it has all the camera shots I like, and without clothes, so very happy... I hope Miyu Kiyohara shoots more VR movies, and S1 doesn't forget about her for 6 months or a year, like they usually do with her star actresses.

Also liked SAVR-312 with the return to VR of Airi Sato / Ai Abe, after five years. The film itself is typical KMP, with the camera far away most of the time and very boring shots, but Sato improves on the director's incompetence by bringing a lot of enthusiasm and a lot of interactivity and energy. Unfortunately, as I already imagined, I missed a face-to-face missionary, which is not included.

Let's see if another, more competent studio shoots more movies with Ai Abe. She's no longer the teenager she was a few years ago, but she's still sexy and charismatic.

Really grateful for this thread. A severe lack of JAV VR discussion on the net - can't even remember how I stumbled across the medium to begin with.

Hope to purchase a Quest standalone by the end of the year. Almost want to hold out until the potential release of the Quest 4 in a couple years, but can only wait so long. I regrettably keep crawling back to flat JAV for the harder genres that are non-existent in JAV VR - absent, perhaps, for the best. My heart wants me to wean off of such genres and enjoy the eroticism of VR - seems healthier for the mind. The impossible angles and harder imagery shown in flat porn is very addictive, but chasing those artificial highs has lost most of its allure. The few acts that I like in flat porn are overshadowed by the plethora of annoying quirks I've grown to detest. Detailing my grievances with flat porn will hopefully free me from the cycle of continuing to download and delete said material. It's senseless to engage with a medium that leaves one feeling anything other than satisfied/at peace.

Have curated around 60 full VR titles on my 2tb external hdd over the last year, and counting - highly anticipating getting to use them. I started out by downloading both full and partial scenes, but it seems that I prefer full scenes over incomplete ones.

I too wish there was more lesbian content in VR. Releases like URVRSP-245 and NHVR-197 look awesome. Have an affinity for lesbian (tongue) kissing, which the flat studio Ebisusan releases on occasion. Will subsist off of the few flat lesbian videos I like until I take the plunge into VR.

Finding others online who stick solely to JAV VR is near impossible. The Oculusnsfw subreddit exists, but focuses on SLR content. Probably more common on Japanese forums I'd presume.

I do want to ask you guys: can you approach VR videos in a similar manner to flat? As in, can you just sit down in bed and masturbate to the scene you are viewing - or do you prefer to mimic the actions of the silent actor? I guess it depends on the sex position, but curious to know if certain positions are harder to masturbate to whilst seated than others (e.g. the face-to-face missionary).

Thank you EnduraVR. I opened this thread some time ago precisely because of what you comment. There is practically no place where you can talk about JAV VR. Like you, I looked for it and couldn't find it. So I opened this thread.

About buying the Quest, my advice is don't wait for the Quest 4, or anything. If you can affort it, buy them as soon as possible. I tell you that because that's the big mistake I made.

I had a wrong idea about VR. I don't know if you've ever tried it, but I thought it was like putting some 3D screens on your eyes, and that's it. It didn't appeal to me too much, and that's why I waited 3 or 4 years to get into it.

The first time I watched a porn movie in VR, I was in shock. Not only do you see everything in 3D, but more importantly, life-size, and just a few centimeters away from you. Seeing the girls as if they were with you in front of you, life-size and where you can see even the pores of the skin, you can almost feel them. It's mind-blowing, another level.

I regret the 4 years I lost for not getting into VR sooner, so my advice is that, if you can afford it, don't wait for Quest 4 or anything else, take the leap as soon as possible. Now JAV VR is a mature market, there are very good movies and at 8K the image quality is mind blowing, almost real life resolution. You feel the girls in front of you, and above all, talking to you and doing it with you, something very different from flat porn, where they are doing it with ugly guys on a tiny screen.

Unfortunately, as you comment, JAV VR only plays a few very limited genres, and it is almost impossible to find lesbian VR. It's a tragedy for those of us who like it. A 3D tongue kiss, just inches from your eyes, it's unbelievable. Hopefully, as the market grows, they will expand the genres.

About the way I watch VR, I do it all sitting in a chair, even if in the movie the protagonists are lying on the bed. Your brain learns to forget about your physical body and "put you" virtually in the virtual body lying down. I at least don't have a problem with that, I don't know if other people need to put themselves in the same position as the actor in the video.

I can't speak for others, but in my case, VR has changed the way I look at actresses. They are so real that you start to see them as real people, not actresses in a movie. Before VR I didn't even know the names of the actresses because I didn't care. Now I know dozens.

I tell you this because I have watched VR movies like the ones you are talking about, with forced scenes, and in VR you see them differently. They are so real that you don't feel comfortable, they even make me feel bad. Maybe that's why they don't exist too much in VR, everything is much more vanilla, because everything is more realistic. You learn to respect the actresses, and you want to treat them well. At least I feel that way.

I have zero experience with VR, perhaps adding to my apprehension. Once I have accumulated enough expendable income I'll take the dive - very much looking forward to it. It will probably be an overwhelming experience, seeing them up so close and personal. Hopefully that'll sever any lingering desire I have for flat material.

Wish I knew someone with a headset. I originally did assume that the experience would be akin to standing really close to a TV/monitor, though that seems to be a far cry from the reality. Baffling to me. Magical technology. Looking forward to testing out depth perception especially.

Very much drawn to the human aspect of the medium. Eye contact, whispering, teasing, talking - still effective even if I cannot speak the language. Wholesome. VR seems revolutionary in that regard. Flat lesbian encompasses most of those qualities, so it serves as a suitable placeholder. I never want to watch a video with a guy in it ever again. Just me and the woman, as nature intended.

Looking forward to seeing the differences between 4k (the bulk of my collection) and 8k. No access to a capable computer, so won't be able to supersample or anything of the sort, but shouldn't be an issue. Good to hear that your enjoyment is not inhibited by being static when using the headset - reassuring.

The humanisation of actresses in VR is fascinating. Have seen many comment on how they suddenly became more attentive to the visual flaws/strengths of actresses, and could no longer just use whatever video to release. Appreciating the actresses as the very real humans they are is right up my alley. Flat for me was solely about the performance, the actress somewhat extraneous. A pleasant change indeed. Changing our perception of what porn is and should be is a necessary step in attaining true satisfaction.
