The first promo has been lanuched.

And the companies producing works for this years AV open has been listed on the web:

As you might notice Moodyz is not featured, some are guessing it's due to the "ban" on outdoor shooting.
Another thing is that for the first time SOD is not part of the featured artist category, my guess is that we will not get a AV debut dvd from them as part of AV OP 2017.

No reason why Moodyz can't simply put forward a work shot indoors (unless they had already shot an outdoors one).
Another possibility I've seen raised is that they're only participating in the VR category, for which there is a separate process.
The VR works will be revealed on 18th July, so maybe we'll see something from Moodyz then.

I feel like this is going to be another very lackluster year, and i guess the only reason why Fitch is featured is because they have Minako Komukai, and will go all in with her?


and moodyz didn't always do the outdoor stuff, when the AV Open returned, they just did a Minako Komukai Anal/DP which they won with

In all honesty, I said it before and I'll just say it again: I'd love if they had some sort of 'technical achievement'-type category where any studio could submit titles that have done something unusual production wise (ie, no cuts for 2 hours, hyper realism from morning to night, hell even VR used in a novel way ('My Time as an actor on a Bukkake set!)', etc.).

I wonder if Ichikawa Masami will appear in SOD's work for the third year in a row.
In 2015 she was a special guest on AVOP-102 and in 2016 besides being one of the host, she cameoed on Rin Asuka's debut work.
So please SOD let your work be Iori and Masami double team.

this years AV open is not interesting for me, lack of hot vids both orgy or single performance, indoor or outdoor actio thanks to excellent works from japanese authorities & ethic companies :(

The main interest is currently this :-

今回S1がAVオープンにエントリーする作品は、超S級美少女のデビュー作品です！

週刊マンガ雑誌のグラビアで活動し、週刊誌の表紙も飾っているグラビア界期待の新人アイドルです。

その美少女ぶりがネットで絶賛され話題にもなりました。

ほとんどの週刊マンガ雑誌からグラビア掲載の依頼があり、
まさにグラビアアイドルとしての人気が約束されました。

そんな彼女を、S1はAVオープンに勝利する為に口説き落としました。

彼女は、メジャー週刊マンガ雑誌のグラビア依頼を全て断り、
グラビアアイドルの頂点の道を選ばず、S1でAV界の頂点を目指す道を選んでくれました！

S1のプロデューサーをやってきて、これだけの素材はこれまで出会った事がありませんし、
これからも出会わないのではないかと思っています！

彼女はグラビア界の約束されたであろう成功の道を断念して、AVオープンに参加してくれました！
私自身も、プロデューサー生命を掛けて今回の作品をエントリーします！！！

S1 made a brag on Twitter about them netting a certain new gravure idol who is currently the talk of the town and they are certain that she will help them to win this year's AVOP.

The Twit lasted for a few hours before S1 deleted it. So who is this new girl ? So far we have a few possibilities :-

1. Ishihara Yuriko. She had a promising career that was cut short when her camgirl feed was leaked a few month earlier this year.

AV open vids used to be better than most ordinary or non AV open vids, but thanks to those forced to perform in AV accusations, and others scandals it has changed a lot

I'm looking forward to AV Open. There's just not a whole lot to talk about until details about the films start emerging on Tuesday.
There have been some fantastic entries in previous years. There have also been some rather uninspiring ones. I suspect this year will be no different.
In particular, I'm looking forward to seeing what SOD Create, ZIZ and TMA put out.

To continue making such a event interesting for the consumer and the companies, I think they should scale down the numbers of videos.

then you exclude a lot of smaller companies, which just kinda defeats the purpose

They got VR entries listed on the site now
And they look Great!
I hope to god they go all out on the VR entries and the resolution and framerate is fit for a HMD.
JAV VR has to step it up a notch before the quality is near Porn VR

I'm hoping AV OPEN, and AV in general, gets better after the 2020 Olympics. It seems that JAV is being suppressed so there is no controversy when 2020 olympics happen.
