    Share FAQ

That error can also occurs if you are running share.exe from an USB HD or card or if you are running it from an encrypted partition/hd or a truecrypt "container". Share has very strict timing requirements, when data is flowing too slowly it assumes a port error. If that's the case just moving...

    fast, simple video editor needed..

For DVDISO images I use avidemux, an editor which is not very well known by Windows users but which is very well known by Linux users and works flawlessly under Windows too. Cutting chapters into an MPEG-2 streams is a little tricky, you can cut only at a GOP boundary, avidemux has a GOP...

    Thread Navigation Problems

It works flawlessly to me. If you are using Firefox maybe you can try to run a clean copy of it without any add-on, most probably one of them is not up-to-date with the code used by the board.

    Share FAQ

There is a setting somewhere where you can enable both DL and UL to slow nodes, that's disabled by default so slow nodes get disconnected after a while.

    Share FAQ

That's interesting: I always leave the files I upload in my upload folder(s) but Share doesn't seems to touch them again once they are diffused for the first time. It is not so? Share can diffuse them again when they are requested from someone and there are not complete copies of those files on...

meguIV: The Official Akiba-Online DVD Encoder (v1.0.1.1)

A very important question was left unanswered for people like me who doesn't have such powerful CPUs: is encoding speed related in any way to output's quality? My personal answer is NO. Am I wrong? I am encoding at 2 (two) FPS, quality is excellent. Most of the time it is the quality of the...

meguIV: The Official Akiba-Online DVD Encoder (v1.0.1.1)

While I am writing MeguIV is encoding its first video. :-) A DLL was missing on my system, MSVCR71.DLL - apparently MeGUI.exe has been compiled with an old (2004) version of Visual Studio. I have very few programs installed on my PC, none of them installed it nor it is still shipped with...

meguIV: The Official Akiba-Online DVD Encoder (v1.0.1.1)

I think it will take a while to have it working on my machine, I just discovered my home directory was owned by SYSTEM and not by me... MS added UAC to Windows as an afterthought and 15-20 years too late... This is the result... I spent a lot of time to secure this system on the Net to discover...

meguIV: The Official Akiba-Online DVD Encoder (v1.0.1.1)

Many thanks for the quick response! Yep, I tried both but nothing changed. I was able to access the MeguUI logs folder tough and the logs I have read seems to confirm that it is a "simple" permissions problem as you are suggesting. I cannot reproduce it so I cannot send them to you, but I think...

meguIV: The Official Akiba-Online DVD Encoder (v1.0.1.1)

My copy of MeguIV keep saying it can not find avisynth.dll, I thought that problem was solved? I am on Vista (of course!) Home Premium 32bit and I am using the latest MeguIV release. I have read all messages here but I am still stuck. During one of the many tries it finally found avisynth.dll...
