I don't understand why the last two Kaede Karen movies are only at 4K. I don't follow the actress so I don't know if that look on the cover is her current look, but I get the impression that the VR was shot before the 8K format was released.... Either that, or Idea Pocket is devolving...

Today the best VR director in the world, Yazawa Receive, has restored my faith in VR. Unfortunately, it's a one-off title that I doubt he'll be repeating with other studios.

In 2025, VR immersion has gotten much worse, destroyed by KMP, especially by its studio/label or whatever the fuck it is, called SAVR. It floods the market with 100 boring VRs a month, with slow, robotic sex and little immersion, hiding under tons of crap the releases of studios like Unfinished or Kawaii, who were releasing one or two high quality VRs a month. This has forced them to release more titles to be more visible, and their quality has plummeted. Unfinished is already the new SAVR.

Smartly, Alice Japan has not fallen into the trap. It continues to release only 2 or 3 VRs a month, but maintains the desire to shoot immersive VR. That's what it offers in AJVR-270, where Yazawa Receive is once again shooting like 2022 or 2023, as he hasn't done in a long time: maximum immersion from every angle.

Kawakita Meisa, now Ootori Miyu, is one of my favorite actresses. After a two-year retirement she came back a few months ago. SAVR has released two titles with her that are a total bore, where you just watch. This Alice Japan title is completely different. Night and day.

Meisa looks absolutely stunning in the tight sportswear:

AJVR-270 is one of the VRs I have enjoyed the most in recent months. This is true virtual reality, your brain thinks you are making love to the amazing Kawakita Meisa / Ootori Miyu. That should be the purpose of VR porn, but unfortunately in 2025 this title is an oasis in the desert, and I don't think we'll see many more movies like this.
Even the 8K bitrate is above average on Fanza, between 19 and 33 Mbps.

The camera may be too close for some, especially during exploration, but the nice thing about this is that if a camera is too close, and you zoom out a little farther away, the image quality improves. Give it a try and you'll see it. On the other hand, if the camera is far away and you zoom in, the image is blurred. That's why the camera should always be close, and then everyone can zoom out if they want to.

Yes, I watched it a couple of days ago. The immersion has nothing to do with the Alice Japan's VR, but that's not a criticism, the immersion is fine. But I don't really like the schoolgirl theme, and the actress leaving clothes on for no reason, as happens with the swimsuit. It's a VR for clothing fetishists, it's not for me.
But this is a case of knowing how to differentiate what you like, from what is good. It's a good VR, with good immersion, it's just not for me.
Mira Marin is very cute, I hope we see more VRs with her.

Great VR with Tojo Natsu's body exploration (albeit with clothes), and good face-to-face scenes. You're going to like the close missionary.
My favorite VR from Tojo Natsu, along with URVRSP-148.

I didn't know this one and have never seen anything from this studio before (Vr Research Institute Section 9 , what were they smoking when they came up with this name?). It took me a while to find it. The ID changes depending on were you look. Found it as WVR-900017 or WVR-9017.

It is an interesting title and has - besides the stuff you have mentioned - also a great body exploration part. They certainly knew what they were doing in terms of immersivness. So I checked the other releases of this studio but could not find anything else that was like this title. Seems like a one off from them which is weird. I don't believe in coincidences or that you could make something immersive by accident. But in this case it seems to be the case. This one is an unsolved JAV VR mystery...

After a strong start of 2025, I don't know what's going on, but in April there have been hardly any top release from the big VR studios, and none announced for May, something that has never happened before.

I wouldn't say 2025 was strong so far but yes, May is a total disaster. Are most of the studios on summer vacation? For the most part nothing besides boring SAVR titles are announced so far.

I don't thing that she is a AV actress but I know what you mean. Sometimes the extra is cute and you try to find more of her but end up dissapointed. I had this happend to me with HNVR-019 in which the extra was super cute to me (girl on the right)

This title actually has a sex scene with her but I believe the penetration is fake. While this girl (Yukino Rino) kinda is a 'real' actress she seems to only appear as a side kick or in weird compilations in VRs. Of course she is long retired, very frustrating

Yeah, that studio doesn't have any more movies like that.
I believe that most directors have the ability to shoot immersive VRs. Another thing is that they don't want to because it costs more work, or the studio won't let them.
Look for example at Yazawa Receive's VRs, he has many that are very immersive, and others that are not, depending on the studio that hires him. Even SAVR has shot some immersive movies from time to time. If they want to, they can. But it costs more time to shoot those angles, or maybe you have to pay the actress more, or they are just 2D minded studios, where the priority is to watch, rather than interact. I don't know.

These days it's Golden Week, which I have no idea what it is, but it's some kind of Asian holiday, maybe they take vacations or something. In stores there are a lot of discounts, maybe that's why there are no releases. I hope that's the real reason.

Thanks. About AJVR-269, the trailer and photos show almost nothing, so I can't tell you. Of the three released by Alice Japan in April, I have only purchased AJVR-270. You're going to love the missionary and exploration, but it's got a little fake sweat in it. It's just a little water spray, it's not very noticeable but it's there. I know you don't like it.

In the meantime I have put my focus more on older 4k releases with the goal of enhancing them with upscaling/AI. Some of the titles I knew already but I have also discovered many new titles by searching for certain actresses / directors and based on some recommendations from you guys (thanks).

I wanted to share some of my personal highlights. Initially I only wanted to post stuff that hasn't been mentioned in this thread before but since it has gathered posts to almost every single decent title over the years it is an impossible requirement. So it will have some repeats but because they are mostly like 3-5 years old it shouldn't be an issue I think.


1) VRKM-458 (2021) with Satou Nonoka

This title might have the best introduction/monologue I have ever seen in a VR. Besides the fact that the actress is super cute in her outfit she is also extremly flirtatious, always close the the camera with constant eye contact and lots of interaction like kissing, hugging and so on. Note that this title highly focusses on her face and sex scenes are only from the front.

The story itself is nothing special (coworker that is into you) but the way she conveys it is on another level, like she can really keep a monologue going and it gets more intense over time. I highly recommend it with subtitles if you don't speak Japenese. The sex scenes are also decent with some good angles. When it comes to the picture quality it shows some of the weaknesses of the 2021 camera tech. Lots of details are lost like her skin is just smoothed out in some scenes because the details are missing in the source.


2) IPVR-177 (2022) with Kami Anna

Kami Anna is great at VR and she might be a bit underrated. This title is my favorite of hers and it focuses on her best skills: kissing and licking. It's an extremly interactive VR and it might not be for everyone but I enjoy this kind of content.

She is in your face throughout the movie, never stops and that includes the sex scenes in almost every angle. If you like kissing in VR (lots of it) like me you have to check it out.


3) URVRSP-176 (2022) with Shirato Hana

For some reason I have only discovered this title recently. No idea how I could've missed it. URVRSP-176 might be the most interactive GFE VR ever created. You can think of it as a classical Crystal GFE VR but add to that perfect lighting, +1000% interactivness and all the right angles you can think of with the girl while being super close to the camera (directed by Receive btw.). The shower part is what makes it unique. In this section the sex scenes/penetration keeps going while the girl is doing her chores like showering and brushing her teeth. I guess this part is highy subjective but I liked it.

Shirato Hana is also perfect and overall it has become one of my all-time favorites. Highly recommended.


4) Yumika Saeki in VRKM-282 (2021) and URVRSP-128 (2021)

Yumika Saeki has retired in 2023 and never have I seen anything like her since or before. No matter what the setting or theme of a title is you can bet she will use her long tongue to seduce you while you get covered with her salvia. I guess it's not even an act, it's simply how she does and like it . Besides that I also think she is a very pretty actress. For her I had to combine two releases because both have strenghts and weaknesses. In URVRSP-128 the story and setting is more to my liking but it's directred by Rinrin so the angles are mediocre at best or they are missing entirely.

VRKM-282 has great angles but the salvia was a little too much for me in some scenes.

Overall both these releases are fun and underline her unique talents. I'm not even particular into saliva, but hey if it's that well done I'm in. Unfortuantely when it comes to her skillset no current actress comes close to her.

Yes, she is very interactive and I have only discovered her older titles recently. I guess I have not seen everything of her yet that is worthwhile. For her newer releases she has a decent title from a technical standpoint: AJVR-251. Not sure though if she has done something to her face. She looks different but I can't tell if it's just her being older now or something else.

It's certainly a title you want to have in your collection if you like the girl. But don't skip the introduction, it's worth it if you have the time and patience for it.

Thanks, while going through my collection of older releases I realised exactly this: titles with lots of interaction and maximum immersion with the camera close to the action are those that I kept and they have a high level of rewatchability. Titles that just observe with the girl not interacting much are those that get boring fast even if it includes a very pretty girl in the perfect scenario.

Almost all actresses nowadays are robots who just look at the camera....

I think it's normal to be a bit overwhelmed with the VR camera when you first interact with it and the girl might come across as wodden and unresponsive. Also looking at the runtime of many newer VRs it seems like they are more and more in a rush. This is only speculation but I guess that could also means that they spend less time to explain to the girl how to work with the VR camera or cut it while filming to explain it to her better. In recent titles I see it more and more that the girl is kinda lost but the camera keeps rolling. Just cut it and talk to the girl goddamit. Besides that the girl is often playful with the camera in the first couple minutes, like kissing and so on. But she stops afterwards and never does anything with the camera for the next hour because she forgets about it.

Also I think the total number of VRs that are made since 2021/2022 has decreased which gives less opportunities to improve for some actresses. I have no idea if the girls themselves have changed since then. But it's certainly a different environment now and some studios seem to be more and more budget conscious which results in lower quality products and immersivness. Unfinished is the extreme example. They have dropped in quality so much within a few months and it's hard to blame the girls for that.

I don't have time today, but tomorrow I'll post some VRs I've converted to 8K in the last few weeks.

It's fun to write about older releases. After all you can freely choose your hightlights out of hundreds of VRs from that period. I might post 3-5 titles from time to time if I find some more interesting/unique titles to write about.

I have thought that many times. Sometimes you get the feeling that there is no director. You can tell the girl doesn't know what to do, and no one tells her. That's when the director would have to cut and give her directions. But they keep filming until the end.
It's a bit like you say: There are far fewer studios working in VR now than there were a few years ago, but they produce far more VRs., and they spend much less time on each one, and don't care about the result.

My impression is that they no longer shoot to sell VRs, but to release movies every day for the subscriptions. The quality doesn't matter, because people pay only for the subscription and having movies every day is enough for them, even if they are crap.

This title actually has a sex scene with her but I believe the penetration is fake. While this girl (Yukino Rino) kinda is a 'real' actress she seems to only appear as a side kick or in weird compilations in VRs. Of course she is long retired, very frustrating

At some point, the wall will turn transparent revealing that your partner is also being fucked by a male masseuse. I can't say I'm a huge fan of seeing other guys in my VRs but I retain his one simply cos it stars Ogura Yuna.

Frankly, your 'girlfriend' in this video is nowhere near as attractive as Ogura Yuna, especially up close where she isn't particularly beautiful and actually looks kinda awkward whenever she smiles.


But than later on when the wall turns transparent, she's actually kinda quite hot when viewed from a distance and has a rather fit slim bod. Enough to actually distract me from Ogura Yuna which is no mean feat. Never quite managed to find out who she is, but I'm fairly certain she has to be in the industry too for her to be doing an actual sex scene even as an extra. She's actually quite expressive and certainly seems to be enjoying the experience, maybe cos she's not exactly the focus of attention so she could just cut lose or something instead of having to act.

The masseuse is Hachino Tsubasa who I don't find particularly attractive. I'm not a fan, but this series of the transparent crystals is quite successful, usually appears among the best sellers and they have released quite a few titles.
