Just curious. Is anyone able to use the "thanks" button on my original post? Usually I get a couple of thanks on my posts of new material but nada on this one. I'm wondering if I somehow turned off that button for this post...

    Maybe no one liked? :eek:hnoes:

First, thank you sharing your spreadsheet on the thread StudioWI. There is a ton of content in there and I'm looking forward to checking it out. Much appreciated! :harp:

Having said that, I'm conflicted about posting content from "western" websites and production companies in this thread. Not because I (or other forum members) wouldn't like to view your content. And not because I think its off-topic. But for the sake of continuity. Since this thread was started in the "Akiba-Online > Direct Downloads > JAV Downloads > Fetish JAV Downloads" forum I have posted solely JAV content so far, but that is not to say I wouldn't welcome content from other sources as well!

    In regard to masterkof's post:
Discrimination aside :snicker:, I have to concede his point about the potential for the thread getting "messy". However, I do have one nit to pick on his comment about non-asian wrestling content being found easily. Yes, its comparatively easy to find "western" wrestling/catfight content on the web, but what may be old to you or I may be new to someone else. It seems a waste not to share any content given unselfishly on this topic with the group, even if its non-asian. I can see both sides of the discussion have merit.

I hate to waffle so, ultimately, I would have to say I'm ok with it. Its a net gain in my opinion for sure. I say go for it. However, I guess I would like to see what the community thinks. Would you mind holding off for a couple days to see if anyone has any objections, StudioWI? Again, I'm not one to look a gift-horse in the mouth, and I don't want to seem ungracious since you took the time to share your spreadsheet with the group. Sorry if this comes off as rambling dialogue. Since it will establish a precedent for the thread I just wanted to put all my cards on the table.

So far we have a nay from masterkof, and yea from you and I.

Forum members? Any other objectors? Responses welcome.

[QUOTE As per usual, the files are approximately 130 MB stand-alone avi's. I ran into difficulty trying to re-encode the raw DVD files so, after a couple of attempts at encoding with H264, I eventually gave up and used Xvid for the second half of the fight. QUOTE]

Your doing great work with all your encoding. I was wondering if you have ever tried FairUse Wizard 2. This is what I use. I like its simplicity and it also alows you to edit the video. You can code in x264, Xvid or Divx. The program is free. I prefer Divx I find installing all those other codecs cause driver issues on my computer.

PS. I say if it is good quality material post it let the members decide if they wish to download it.

Thanks. Its a work in progress. :flattered:

Right now I'm using Xilisoft Converter Ultimate. I haven't found anything it can't re-encode yet (besides the occasional VOB file) but I'm not real impressed with its UI. Particularly when I'm cutting up files to make clips. I haven't used FairUse yet. I will give it a try. Anything to make the DVD ripping process easier would be very helpful.

I've used Divx in the past and I liked it well enough. Nowadays I use H264 for quicker encoding and sharper output, or Xvid if I want to edit the file with DirectVobSub (when those damn VOB files are giving me headaches).

Have you tried the CCCP codec pack? I haven't had any problems with it so far (windows XP).

Thanks for the feedback. Good point!

Overlord? If I had that, I would have already posted it. I'm pretty much out of vids until I really start to rummage thru my portable HD...

Thank you for at least trying not to post requests in the thread. Sort of. :sigh:

Sorry, I don't have either of those. Hopefully I will get more SSS material in the future but, as of right now, I can't say when.

About missing content-I said it's not in a safe place, so it can get lost.
I think that posting links to requested material and using full products
names in text only attracts the web search bots and we should not do that
unless we want the content to dissapear - right?

Also, posting 'western' stuff I think is offtopic and only attracts the bots to the pages we don't want to

Thanks for the feedback. Attracting unwanted attention from western companies is definitely something we should avoid.
