Hi all.

I would like to clarify my previous post about "Zeroweb" in order to (hopefully) make the process a little more transparent. Firstly, the name of the company I was referring to in my previous post is, in fact, "Zero payment services" not "Zeroweb". (Doh! :exhausted I can only claim stupidity as my excuse for that brainbuster... Sorry for the confusion. That aside, the email sent to Zero should be in english. A text translation from english to japanese is not required. In fact they would prefer that you would send your email in english if you are not fluent in Japanese.

Below in bold font is the email chain from Zero, starting with their response to my email in which I requested authorization to use their service. This ultimately allowed me to use their credit payment service on ABV's website and hopefully it will for anyone else as well. Granted, this was back in 2008 so their policy may have changed.

Dear Customer,

This is Zero Customer Support.

To prevent from increasing credit card fraud usage,
we have recently strengthened our security policy.

We feel sorry for the inconvenience this may cause you, but please
understand our circumstances and we appreciate your cooperation on
customer identification procedure.

Please read below regulations.

A) Once the settlement was set, it can not be refunded.
B) The cancellation has to be done by the person who registered
to the site.
C) If you do not wish the next charge,
cancel the membership with consideration that there is a time difference.
D) Please understand that we do not manage the site.

I get this error message: "Enter your telephone number with HALF size numbers only."

The phone number I am entering is 1XXXXXXXXXX. I tried to change my keyboard to Japanese input but it still does not work. Am I doing something wrong?

About the Phone Number, there are 2 rules:

1. It has to be started to "0"(zero).
2. It has to be 10-11 digits.

Please add "0"(zero) in front of your phone number if the number doesn’t start with 0.
For Example, if your phone number is 212-123-4567, please punch as 02121234567.

If your phone number has less than 10 digits or more than 11 digits, you can just add/delete
some digits.

In addition, if the numbers are clearly irresponsible like 0123456789, we cannot accept the request.

Even if you have followed the above but the registration was not accepted,
the reason should be the below.

Please note there are some sites are only for users within the country
due to the language matter.

Also, since there are many unauthorized accesses from all over the country,
site owners had to limit the accesses from out of Japan.
Therefore it will be hard or unable for users to utilize some sites
from out of the country.

If the Program Agreement is written only in Japanese,

Note: After obtaining approval from Zero via email, you will need to formally apply for authorization to use your card on ABV's page by clicking on the links indicated in the first screenshot below to bring up the Zero auth screen. Once the screen is displayed, after you fill out the information required you should receive a message indicated success provided you have filled out the appropriate information in the correct format on the Zero auth screen.



Below is a screenshot of the Zero auth screen I was indicating above. (Although its not needed in your introductory email conversation with Zero, some proficiency at translating Japanese text to English may be needed.)

Can someone tell me how to unzip these files? The password "zen" does not seem to work when I double-click on the AZGB-03 file. Do I need to download a special program to unlock it or can I just use winzip/winrar?

Hi, really the best program for unzipping any of the files here on Akiba is 7-Zip. It's an open source (free) program that really completely replaces winzip or winrar, and has its own file type as well which is 7z. And I suggest that instead of double clicking a file, you right click it and select "extract to" as it's much faster than actually opening the file then choosing where to extract.

I would add that if you select "extract to ....*filename*" from the right click menu, then it will simply extract the file to the folder it's currently in using the file name as the folder name

So for example, if you had a file named pete.zip in your "downloads" directory, if you right click, select "extract to 'pete\'", it will make a new folder in "downloads" called "pete" and will put the file in that new folder. It's how I usually use it anyhow. You can also extract to current directory, or just follow the ... to extract wherever you want.

Anyways, hope that was helpful.

okay, all that said, I guess you have to download haozip, even 7zip doesn't work with it. It works pretty much exactly how 7zip works. I'm confuddled why this user isn't using a more standard open source program like 7zip or winrar but hey, it's his files.
