Maybe I should make mine, but with my $15 headset and 720p phone I'm more like hoarding the good vids for the future rather than watching them.

Hello and welcome! Have you seen any indication that it's possible to strip the DRM off of the VR videos on DMM? I know how to strip the DRM off of the normal videos, but not the VR ones (the DRM is different).
If anyone knows how to do this, it would be nice to know how, though I haven't seen anyone do this.
I think the VR videos people have been watching on a Rift must have originated from other websites.
I've had a go at cracking the DRM. I did some packet inspection, but unfortunately the communication is encrypted. I tried reverse-engineering the app, but I haven't been able to figure out how it all works (yet). Once I can figure out how to get the decryption key, I think stripping the DRM should be rather easy. But I'm not having much luck getting to that point.
It's a shame because there are some VR titles exclusive to DMM that I want to watch, but the DRM puts me off.

These glitches are a form of file corruptions.
I found a numbers of these in your Sora Shiina releases too.
Are these glitches from the original sources? If it is, that's really bad and needed to be feedback.
As far as I know, these corruptions can be formed from concurrent heavy disk activities like, downloading and doing large file transfers at the same time, causing CRC errors. Forcing unzip/unrar of them will show similar corruptions somewhere in the files. In term of video file(mp4), it's will download as per normal, no errors shown.
This is one reason I always encourage rar-splits for large file instead of using .001, .002(basically just splitting bits), as there's some form of corruption check.
Based on what Casshern2 said, there's a corruption in the video similar to the one in this previously posted screenshot:

I don't think the RAR archive has anything to do with this; the video would have been corrupted before being RAR'd.
The question, however, is at which point this glitch came about (i.e. does the video as hosted on the original website also have this glitch?).

As ldjb said, nothing to do with archiving or unzipping. All I'm saying is, similar corruptions can occurred during downloading.
Rar archive can act as an error check.
The best we can get now is the 3D SBS title MCB3DBD-17. In some way, I think they are better than VR as the visuals are high-res, sharp and clear.

This is a great topic! (IMO)
When I saw Nozomi Tanihara had a VR title and Aoi Aoyama had two of them, I suddenly had the wonderful thought of other retired/semi-retired JAV stars making a small comeback to take advantage of the VR "craze" going on now. NOT to mention the stars, like @zizoux mentions, have yet to star in a VR title. One I would love to see would be one with Miki Sato smiling and pouting her pretty little lips while bouncing her boobs around and sticking her awesome nipples close to my face!
