Also, just thought that id add that u15 collapsing is a fear of mine with the Olympics. Might wanna get everything you can b4 the internet police start to crackdown even harder on it, and itd be viewed by LAE as CP. Stock up on u15, and hide it on external drives (for when it does become illegal).
Hear yourself: you predict banning photos/videos of young girls in swimsuits. Imagine cleaning up Facebook under new legislation.

Facebook needs to be cleaned up with or without. I mean, I'm not talking about young girls in swimsuits, I'm talking about actual CP! I'm not exactly predicting u15 being banned, but I'm saying that if it does, it will have a huge impact on quite a few of us here at Akiba-Online.

I'm not worried about the U15 industry disappearing completely, the attraction for younger girls is deeply , and I really mean DEEPLY rooted in japanese society and culture , but what I'm worried about is the U15 industry producing lower and lower quality titles, with boring generic scenes, for fear of getting in trouble for being too "bold" .

Junior Idols aren't going away anytime soon, but the best stuff got released years ago and it's been going downhill ever since.... The same applies for gokkun titles... The silver lining is that we're getting higher and higher quality 3D lolis :) The 3D stuff that'll be released in VR in a few years is gonna be unbelievable.

I agree. I think in reality, there will always be an industry for it, but I think it will go even deeper underground. There also might come a point where the government sends massive DMCAs to u15 sites, and those sites will ALSO either have to go underground, or disappear altogether. Lets hope that day never comes!

I suppose they COULD hook up with the studios themselves and try to take down sites that share JAV altogether (although I doubt this would happen for at least another 5 years). Or, the Japanese government could just outright use the DMCA just as a way of taking down the u15 material outright (without even caring if its copyright). I was not trying to make it sound as though they would care about copyrighted materials online, I was trying to point out that if it did become illegal, they would probably use this route, as well as cease and desist letters en masse with threats of visits from ICE and Interpol.

"If", "if"... Outlawing all photos of young girls would immediately disable also monitoring of public places...
If anything, a route of borderline legal oppression of companies could be used in a similar fashion to what is said to have happened to western modelling sites - blocking payments and access to funds. Kills any business.

Yes. The people watching it are sickos.
How so? most people here who watch it (including I) watch it because we are lonely and wish we had children of our own to try and raise up to be decent human beings. U15 for me, is a chance to imagine that I had a child (that survived) that I could raise.

Says a guy with an avatar, that I won't dare to quote in my post. I see either hypocrisy or failed irony.

The companies that make all the external drives are going to have to pump them out like candy considering how many people are probably panicking right now. It looks like 4TB drives are pretty cheap, but it wouldn't take that long to fill it up. I'd probably go with two 8TB drives. The cheapest ones seem to go for $200 right now. Although assuming one would already have at least one external hard drive, he or she could just hold off on buying an 8TB for the next couple years and wait for the price to drop. Unless you're someone who's mass downloading videos, you won't need an 8TB drive right away.

I have 45TB available right now, with 35 of those filled. Across 12 drives (drives 3-14).

I never knew the "Grey Area" was provocative..

more than few american and european porn was forced to change their tittles and cut out some of the scenes, only because they used the word baby or 18+ performers dressed and acted like underage children
