I'm sure a lot of you guys hear this, but, well, I sorta need to rant about it, I hate rapidshare!!! :crash: Those asses and they're damn download limit! I don't have any problems with megaupload, but rapidshare slows down my download time so much it's stupid. :yell:

I mean, there doesn't seem to be any way around this, any proxies that want to let you download stuff want them to pay you (yeah, right) :snicker2: and any other tricks for getting around rapidshare just don't work! (but if you know some feel free to ask) :please:

I wish more people would kinda use megaupload, but that's not going to happen.. I better go now before I die from acid reflux :murder:

Sorry, but I think rapidshare is just fine and I also like megaupload. I have accounts with both. They are both well worth the money.

I as well pay for the rapidshare account, and it wortks great. I also use sometimes the free download of others, like easy-share or hotfile. I then accept the fact that it takes time, because of the limits; I don't pay them, afterall. There has to be a difference between paying and non-paying users....

not to dis-count paying for it, but money is something i really lack and need to be saving up for more important things, and i probably won't have anymore for like, a couple of months. I guess it just gets on my nerves to wait for 15 minutes after, though megaupload never gives me problems anymore i'm happy to say.. :cozy:

its called rapidshit for a reason. The d/l speed are just stupid. I usualy get around 10k/s and if I'm really lucky 20k. This compared to the 5-6MB/s I get off depositfiles. I tried a paid rapidshit account and it was not much better. Then theres the fact that its impossable for me to upload anything to thier crappy servers as well. It just sits at 0% and never does anything. Not had any problems with megaupload so far but then not tried to use it much either.

The free rapidshare service is ... free.
That makes it worth already.
It's not the optimal quality but even 10 kb/s is reasonable.
If you don't like the speed, go banging your head on a wall somewhere else.

Did I say that I hate people talking shit because they cannot get their daily dose of porn/anime/movies/music/whatsoever ?

I use rapidshare plus if I am downloading multiple files from rapidshare. You do have to manually set the second to retry timer to 900 seconds. After you put your list in you just minimize to taskbar and forget about it for a few hours to a day depending on how many files you are downloading, you should save passwords on note or just bookmark the links if the files require passwords. If I upload anything I just use sharebee.

This program has different download helpers/managers, I only used rapidshare plus, but the others may work as well.

No actually it does'nt not when there are VASTLY better FREE file hosts out there. Ones where you get VASTLY more then 10k/s. Did I say how much I hate rapidshit fanbois like you. Ones who think that we should put up the shit service rs provides because its free and who hate other better files hosts because they are not rapidshit.

Some file host may simply have a higher upload speed than other file host depending on the part of the world that person is in, sometimes its just a preference of the uploader. Either way the person downloading is in no position to piss, bitch moan or complain about the file host the uploader uses. Yeah it sucks waiting 15 minutes between downloads, having a slow download speed and only being allowed to download one file at a time but that is how rapidshare and certain other file host services encourages people buy a memberships so they can make money. If you do not like the file host they use then find someone else or find a way to make downloading from that file host free service more bearable.

I prefer decentralized filesharing. Together filesharers have far more bandwidth and diskspace than rapidshit has. I feel private torrent sites have pretty good retention and so does Share, Perfect Dark and such. And I prefer to torrent gigabytes of files on a NAS box instead of being annoyed to pay to download files without all kinds of imposed limits, the crawling slowness, the endless waiting.

For a single, tiny file, once in a while, it is okay.

But to each their own, if people feel like paying rapidshit money for whatever reason, they are free to do so. I like to think it is a free planet, for now.

There are countries (Asia) where MU won't work at all unless you pay. This forces people to use RS. There are better hosts than RS but it just looks safer. Couple of years ago MU is the only big name when it comes to file sharing, now they are just one of the rest because of many shytty policies. Now everyone uses RS, they even have sale agency in countries you haven't heard of.

Meh, MU's the best without any doubt to a person not living in some euro, asian, etc. country. Pretty much absolutely no restrictions or limitations on downloading and uploading, and happy hour (premium to all users for like 4 hours) early morning.

Can freaking upload 700mb rar's and everyone can dl them at max speed.. Just that they block the ip's, but sadly, it's a good thing in my viewpoint, heh.

RS went absolutely insane with the limitations. Files near the 100 mb limit can take 50 minutes to download, even worse depending on the time.

Also all their advertising "programs" like "get xxxxxxxxxx downloads get premium" has spawned so many people hosting to it while admiting that's why they use it instead of MU or Mediafire (for smaller files)...

I too dislike the waiting 15 minutes and the other limitations. But there are those occasional files that you can only find there, so I just learn to deal with it. I agree that MU is a much better way to go, but unfortunately not everyone sees it that way.

Generally it's the people outside of North America who refuse to admit it, and mainly because the best sites block or limit them...

What can you do, if you point out "Yeah, MU block's you, but you can dl max speed, with a limitation so large it's almost non existant, and being able to UL file size's 700mb and below..come on..." they don't want to hear it..

Also have people who upload small mangas/doujins to things other then mediafire like easyshare or uploading which are both as big of a scam/marketing scheme as linkbucks..

But the sad part is that rapidshare is exactly the same as the ones I just mentioned.. It's limitations and "earn points to use for xxxx!" type junk makes it just as ridiculous as the 3 cents per xxx downloads..

i like RS :notice: over MU, i rather pay the 25$ fee for all the content i get, i place the links inside the DL manager, let it do it's thing, then come back and enjoy.

but i'm just a practical kind of guy, and if a few bucks saves me time, then hell yeah imma pay for it.
