Also, are you the type to now backup that 5TB drive? We here have seen it happen. Someone loses a 2TB drive (let alone a 5!) and there's no backup. All is lost. That's happened to me which is why I'm on 50GB BD now. If a disc fails...I'm only out 50GB worth of titles.
I'm too poor for 41TB of backups.

I've crossed the 1000 title mark archiving to BD50 discs. And only at Disc 34 (BD034)

Above is the CSV file I've been updating (programmatically, of course). Below is what exactly is on disc BD034.

How much does computer cost in japan?

where I live 4tb backup would be less than 13 000 Jyen.

If 4tb= 4096 gb and each 2 hr movie is 1.2 gb then you have 3 400 movies for 13 000 yen or 0.26 yen per movie.
I'm not sure as to the cost of comps in Japan. I don't live there. A 6tb external costs around 120 bucks where I am (at Costco)

I have roughly the same file sizes as you do (typical stuff u get from hpjav, torrents, u15 depfile sites). I recently crossed the 5,000 JAV mark (I'm either AT that, or have more, but not less).

My quest for replacing my HDD drives with 50GB Blu-ray discs took an unexpected turn…that eventually snowballed uncontrollably. My intention to REPLACE them ended up being 10% replacement (by moving titles off of HDD and onto BD50) and 90% new acquisitions! I just couldn’t help it. Now I find myself at 34 discs into the process and I haven’t even cleared the first HDD I was working on. I can’t believe I did that! Talk about getting side tracked.

Question One: Have you ever had a stated goal with what you were going to do with your collection that you later realized you hadn’t done at all?

My other quest was to have a way to visually manage it. You may have seen here and in another thread, my attempt at a way to do just that. My little HTA application. It is still chugging along, haven’t had time to do much development on it. I know others are already using full blown programs that do a whole bunch of things, either purchased, free, or developed themselves (where are you CodeGeek?!?). I won’t ask again for any examples already provided, but if you have an update on something you’ve been using or something you’ve been working on that hasn’t been shared here…

Question Two: Care to share what you have working for you? something you’re working on? or something you’re looking at using?

1.) I started off thinking to myself that 1 tb of JAV was more than enough. Then it was 3tb, then 5tb, now my goal is 100tb (see my 100TB of JAV Project)

2.)Working for me? At the moment I am download tons of older torrents by supermax. I want to get these while I have a seedbox, but also need to continue to download more anime and books. Once I get done with this (I doubt itll be soon), I will switch back over to using HPJAV.

OUTSTANDING! Looks like you have a handle on keeping track pretty much as well. Do you just them like that? Or do you do something with that data?

The list is for me to see if I can fulfill any requests without booting up my external storage bays to look thru the files and putting any unnecessary stress on them

Also it's to keep track of any titles I may have not gotten before this of actresses I am interested in.

The file it self is sorted in a directory of the movie title itself with the artwork scrapped and .nfo file that can be added into KODI's library at anytime

AH! KODI. I’ve heard of that, I’ve looked it up. Wish I could take advantage of it (it’s a long story). And kudos on the willingness to check for and fulfill requests. That makes you aces in my book. I like doing that now and then when I can, but as of late the requests in the Request threads are drying up OR they are asking for like 4 hour movies. Not gonna happen.

I’ve seen that file structure before with the nfo file. What tool do you use to get that?

Using this Java tool :

https://github.com/DoctorD1501/JAVMovieScraper/

and scraping from JavLibrary all the while after cleaning up the files with proper filename structure

Store my porn on 2 4TB hard-drives encrypted by Veracrypt. Veracrypt is the continuation of Truecrypt with improved security at the cost of speed. I just let the drives encrypt overnight.

Unless you have family living with you, I don't understand the need to encrypt... unless u have U15 (like I do, but I don't even encrypt).

I feel like I need to update. I am up to 65-67TB of content, with 82TB of total space. About 12TB of this is JAV. Still no backups though.

Cloud Backups would cost me several thousands (even with Backblaze and GSuite). I can't afford backups (either cloud or physical), since I never have enough money to spend on backups, since I use 3-6TB a month.
