I like µtorrent.

For me it´s fast enough and very simple.

Simplicity is a necessary evil for me because I don`t have the time to get too deep into the subject matter.

I used utorrent before. It's quite lightweight for me, until my ISP decides to throttle our internet connection. I use Deluge now. Its unstable, prone to crash every now and then, but it gets the job done. Plus no throttle effect.

I remember soul seek. I always hated the leechers who would browse your shared folder but make theirs private, the nerve I tell you.

Shit used to make spawn fits of RAGE!! I guess that's why I've settled with BT mainly and IRC when the occasion calls for it.

I'm using utorrent exclusively now, used to use limewire, but now I find all that stuff from direct download links. And Azureus, but switched to utorrent because it runs faster on my old computer.

I'm using utorrent primarily. In my opinion, it's fast and easy to use. One particular feature, I think, is that it's not use up the bandwidth, i.e. I can still surfing the web with acceptable speed.

I also use eMule sometimes, but whenever I use it, my internet is slowed down considerably. Thus, I just use eMule when idle.

EMule?

What's the position of this place on emule links? I've been looking for some commentary on it, but there's practically nothing I've found via the search function.

I have a lot of jav stuff I've been collecting for about 5-odd years that might be of interest, but it's all via emule. I'd upload a cover or something for a link, but I'm not converting to RS or anything. Too much trouble for files that run from 700mb to 2.5gb. And that's usually a relatively lousy way to distribute superlarge files anyway.

Someone wants to grab my files via emule, they are welcome to take the trouble, though.

I don't want to step on anyone's toes, though, if it's verbotten.

You can share your emule links in the P2P Downloads forum. Just remember to use eMule prefix when starting a new thread there. And attaching a cover (and preferably thumbs also) is always nice.

I use Utorrent in combination with peerblock(much faster than peer guardian at updating and works well on Vista 64 bit and Windows 7 64 bit editions).

I used share for a while (for about a couple of months). The reason was the incredible speed it achieves, many times quicker than a direct download, maybe the ISP are throttling down download websites in the place I live, but they haven't throttled share yet.

The main problem you will find with share are:
-- Most of the content is only indexed in Japanese, so you end up cutting and pasting text you do not understand and try to get something by trial and error.

-- But you are not sure what are you downloading because share likes to start downloading at the middle of the file and it is unable to recover any partial file to check its contents (as many torrent programs do).

-- When you test the full download, turns out to be real shit (I consider myself very open minded but I think some Japanese have to be very screwed sexually speaking). When I say SHIT is real SHIT that keeps rumbling in your brain for hours.

-- After a couple of such incidents, I deleted share from my hard drive, and I only download from places like rapidshare and only when I can have a look at the thumbnails

It is a pity share does not have more content indexed in English.

Cheers

Some download turn to be fake or no sufficient cache is left, using the share search is really frustrating some times :stress:, so I relay in website searches like http://hashdb.com and threads and 2ch.

I knew about hashdb, but it is in Japanese, and does not work very well in English. So you end up searching for terms splitting japanese titles in parts and searching for them, and hoping to have some luck matching similar movies, BTW I like their quiz shows where contestants have to undress and so :snicker2: Isn't 2ch in Japanese as well?, I cannot speak (or read) a word in japanese :notagain:

What it is incredible is the amount of weird stuff that can be found in share (and I am sure most of it illegal in the west), was the danger of the result of doing "random" searches what stopped me using share, man, for sure you know what I mean, there are tons of stuff that can make you sick for days :shiver:
