Gripe of the month

Ok... I'm feeling sad... wanna share... but let's see if I can turn it into a thread... Here are the rules:
1. Anyone can gripe about something
2. Must be JAV-related
3. Not more than one post per person per month
4. No repeat of the same gripe for each person. (different people can gripe the same thing, of course)

Here is my gripe for October:
All my waifus are taking October off!!!

Julia: average over 2 full titles per month, nothing for October, except an IV
Yua Mikami: her first off-month since forever
Mirai Asumi 明日見未来 probably her first off-month since debut
Hikari Asuna 梓ヒカリalso a rare off-month
Asuna Kawai 河合あすな off since late August
Hikari Sena 瀬名ひかりok a stretch to include her because she's never been a stable professional, but October is one more month she doesn't have a solo work.

There might be one or two more, know it's kinda hard to keep track of my many waifus.

1. The fact that legends like Miki Sunohara (and to another extent Hana Kano) are around but underused is a tragic. Actresses like Aika, while cute, have been treading water for years and she gets more work.

2. Sad that Kurea Hasumi unceremoniously left.

3. Where is Reiko Sawamura?

4. Ayaka Mochizuki's incredible output really fell off to allow Alice Otsu, Yumika Saeki (who recently came back), Akari Aramura, and Mao Hamasaki to have more shine. I hope she comes back hard.

5. Rino Yuki is pound for pound my favorite looking actress right now. She's a deepthroater and rides dick with some of the best...but I don't keep any of her stuff. She has scenes but hasn't made a full that I have kept. She has so much potential.

My gripe (mostly with myself) is I want to like Nao Masaki, but her tendency for femdom and lez is the opposite of what I like. I’m trying to find a JAV where she directs *and* gets f*ckd but seems like an exercise in JAV futility. When she does appear, it’s usually to hold down or plow the star herself with a strap-on, but she’s never on the receiving end.

similar with @ding73ding , my gripe, and also my fear, a lot of my idol suddenly take off recently:
1. Aizawa Minami, did not release new video in september
2, Honjou Suzu did not release a new video in october, and there is no news yet for november, SOD release a very small video for november
3. Momonogi Kana will not have any new video for november
4. Nanasawa Mia will not have any new video for november at least for moodyz, and her name also taken off from moodyz rooster
I also notice, after the new JAV law, seems like studios release less video each month, am i right?

There's zero respect for Sunohara's acting talent and effort. Few actresses can act, even fewer have range like she does. She should be a much bigger star. I feel the same way about Hana as well, not quite as great as Miki but damn I've seen atid-186 so many times.

Haha, we're opposite people. Lezdom is one of my favorite genres!

No argument here on Miki. There's a self-confidence and uninhibited quality about a lot of the great actresses that is evident in their work. Seems to aid them when doing the fantastical as well as when going for the more natural or realistic.

Miki is the right kind of crazy enough too. Sorry, this always cracks me up.

Well, since we're here to grip and I am quite good at it hahaha, thanks for this thread, ding73ding :cheers:

My gripe(s) for the month are...
1. Harem videos. Can't stand them when there's more than 2 actresses. I notice in most of these videos the focus might not be on "favorite" actress(es). And honestly it's not as exciting as one would like as the girls rarely touch each other, or even kiss. And the loud fake moaning is beyond annoying and headache inducing. The decibel on these videos must be 5X louder than your regular porn.

2. Shortage of male actors. I get that younger guys in Japan seems uninterested in starring in porn now more over. And that has created this shortage. It's terrible when you have too see the same faces of someone like yudruz or ozawa for the 30th time and really they do the same lame performances in all their movies. If it was up to me, I would seriously just pixel their faces too and put the focus entirely on the women. No added distraction.

3. Retirement. Honestly I hate to see any actress or even the males lose their jobs. But some of these people need to retire because their looks is failing or performances.

Julia for example, not a fan of, but I know her old vids was a lot more sexy and hotter. Now she looks tired and her energy is just about gone. Same with Yu Shinoda. Yui Hatano too.

And the men have gotten fatter, older in the face, and looks ridiculous trying to f*** young girls because their stomachs look like their pregnant or they can't f*** any longer.
I actually don't mind old actors but sometimes enough is enough. Retire, already hahaha

4. Video length. I hate the need for studios to extend the videos/movies when the plot is pretty much done. It's simply needless padding. No porn needs to be almost 3 hours long, unless compilation videos.

5. Story, Plots, or whatever. Can JAV at least try to make the endings of the movies less predictable? I know the main audience hate changes but can't Jav start adding some twist ending to make things less predictable?
- For example, daughter/father sex. In those movies, dad and daughter sneaks around and never get caught by the wife. Can they at least have the dad get busted and look scared af, at least once?

That's my grip for the month.

That's my grip for the month.

1. Depends on which girls and movies. Rin Sakuragi, Miku Ohashi and Yuma Asami in PGD 481. Hell yes.

2.Definitely. Always the same old actors. One of them 田渊正浩 supposedly he's been on screen with 9000 girls and have been in 10000 movies! That is insane. He's still doing it and not going to quit soon.

3. Agreed. Julia and Yui's new movies are nothing new. Yui's new interratial movie is like boring lol you just don't give a crap about it and the fact they're getting older or starting to do plastic work is even more so.

4. Over used plots are definitely boring Madonna and attackers tend to do this a lot.

5. I don't watch daugther/father themes much but Kaori Saejima gets caught cheating in kncs 69 and in nsps 196. There's definitely others with the mass amount of movies out there but it seems now they stick to the same formula over and over.

Meh, I like to see guys enjoying the sex or being goofy. If we're going that route I'd rather they just use camera angles to obscure the dude (tight in, low down, POV). Not my preference though.

Honestly, I feel like JAV has more storytelling variety than other porn. Maybe switch it up and look beyond favorite genres for a bit?

I feel some people are missing the whole point of this thread. It's about gripes and it must be JAV-related.
It's not about countering people gripes... it's about gripes.
It not about finding something positive about JAV, it's about gripes.
Did I miss something? Or is some deciding to change the rules of the thread? :maaf:

Cross posting from the superb reap thread. My November gripe is lackluster reap resistance. A real bummer when the actress just lies there making token protests. Without context you’d barely tell it was a raep at all. Don’t have examples because whenever I see it I delete that JAV!

Yeah... it's fine to have a little follow-up conversation. The thread is to let fans vent your gripe, and by venting maybe you point out somehting interesting for others to see, hmm like what would be something in my blind spot (loli, VR, lesbian), that other may notice a new (gripey) trend and mention it, even it's not my area of interest, I'd be curious to know.

But certainly I don't wish the gripe thread turning into troll war the point is to vent your pet peeve and depressurize, if folks start attacking each other and ramp up tension it's the opposite of the original intention. Like I think someone already attacked one of my waifus but fine everyone has an asshole.

Thank you for clarifying. There's a lot to be vented about JAV. It still fly above western stuff but its' not perfect.

My friend I agree about the 'not interesting' aspect of JAV recently.
But I will point you to the weird JAV videos of ROCKET where a woman or mom/daughter are turned to stone.
I hate these videos but will keep that gripe for another time

- As for game shows video., I agree. They're not as good as before. In fact, I notice how the recent ones feel 'rush and not sexy".
- The cast don't act like family, which is the point of most game show videos.
- Calling each other mom/dad or sister/brother is not enough. You have to feel they are related.

Well, I have another gripe. Jav-related.
Subbing.
I get no one knows the actual language, including me. And we all try our best...
But what is the point of changing an actual "easy" line???
Submitted for your evidence, i give you a picture.

The CN sub/translation say My son is choosing a school near my home.
But if you look at the movie...
She say, It seems Steven, who likes Japan, chose this university.

Again it's a gripe. The author did well overall in the first parts. But for an easy line, he lost it here.
This is just a small example. Of course, I've seen worse.

Another gripe. Machine Translations. Not worth the time and do more harm if you don't correct it.
Other sites and posters will take Machine Translations without looking at them.
Then maybe post and charge it's members for shitty subs. Yuck.

Totally agree re Miki and Hana...both are true sexual beings and bring a real intensity to their scenes, Yes its a shame about Kurea...she just kinda stopped making new material for a while then made a bit of an announcement...no farewell vid with crying and flowers...I wonder what she will do now.
