That sounds like a good idea. There used to be a collection of links at the start of this thread that was updated when new subs were added but it's been dormant for quite a while.

I copy and paste the procedure published by me a few weeks ago in this same thread (page 35). I reiterate that it is an "automatic" procedure, which generates non-PROFESSIONAL translations. I am one of those who think that a partial translation is better than nothing.

I do not understand those who complain about the quality of the subtitles, when anyone, with a little will, can edit them to bring them to the desired quality. I do not know, I imagine that this automatic procedure affects those who profit from JAV translations and wish to discourage this option because it affects their interests. I dont know.

Anyway, here is the procedure for those who value it.

I have been able to contribute subtitles to this thread without knowing Japanese (I don't even know English well). The subtitles I share are from Chinese subtitles (which you can download here https://drive.google.com/open?id=1qzkhMO0x4qCKhC_iLjgWv2ZdS1r8Iy2C), for those interested in doing the same. It would be great if many applied this method to generate many more JAV subtitles in English.

1) Drag the Chinese subtitle file wich you want translate to the Google Chrome browser window.
2) Right click on the Google Chrome window and choose the "Transalte to English" option.
3) Copy the generated text.
4) Create a text file and name it the same as the video, including the original extension of the subtitle.
5) Paste the text into this new file and save it.
6) Verify the results viewing the video.
7) Share the file in this thread

In this process I have encountered three inconvenience:

1) Sometimes the subtitles do not correspond to the video (there is nothing left to do).
2) Sometimes there is a mismatch between the video we have and the subtitles (these appear before or after the scene). What is appropriate here is to get the correct video or adjust the subtitle file, whichever is easier for us.
3) Under this method we need to start with the subtitle file already created (in Chinese or another language).

I hope this information is useful for everyone to create their own subtitles.

This one had very few lines. Some were mistranslated in the Chinese and some were hard to make out.

Thanks a lot, Ericf. There may be relatively few lines of dialogue, but it is great to have them translated, especially the text messages that create a whole other layer to the story.

All of the videos in this series have a tone and quality that is unusual in JAV, and miles beyond anything in Western porn.

Yeah. The one I'm thinking of doing (some time in the future (He he he...)) isn't one of those, though.
I keep hopping between different girls and different kinds of themes. I have a video that only exists as SD that I've upscaled and decensored (about 75% of the time it worked well, the rest has squished mosaic that can't be decensored) and I will translate that pretty soon. It's a surprisingly western kind of video. It even has a lesbian scene.
I have two subtitles ready to be released after I've watched the videos to make sure I haven't missed anything. I always have at least two finished subtitles when I release something so that I won't have too long breaks between releases even if I don't do any subbing for a couple of months.

Once you've joined the correct radicals together to form your full character, you go to the next page and there are explanations.

Here's an English subtitle that I made by Google translating a Chinese srt and then manually updating each line of dialogue while referencing various other translation sites. Obviously not completely accurate, but it works fine if you want to get the gist of what's going on. I watched the entire video while I was editing the subtitle file, so the dialogue works just fine in context (for non-Japanese speakers).

GVG-601: A Sexy PTA Director And A Bad Boy Student Council President (feat. Misaki Honda)



The video is about a PTA Director/President who gets blackmailed by her son's bullies. This is one of Glory Quest's long-running series, so if you enjoyed this one then there's more for you to check out. I recommend GVG-822 and GVG-148.

It's a shame Misaki Honda retired earlier this year. I thought she was just hitting the peak of her performing skills when she called it quits.

It has to say, the correct way, like chinese, is from left to right, top to bottom.
I guess, suggesting doing it right side first, is to eliminate more variables at once faster...
