I just read an article about porn restrictions in singapore. It said that its illegal to download any kind of porn videos in singapore. I just curious, have anyone ever download porn in singapore from site like javlibrary and get fined from the goverment?? Or is this just another useless thing that every country do for blockong porn??

My understanding is that it is illegal to store porn electronically Singapore, but not viewing it. So unless you’re moving out to Singapore permanently make sure you have a ‘stash’ or source on the internet and you should be ok.

Good point WillEater ... Obviously clearing your temp folder regularly will get round that ... what about an IPAD does that work in the same way?
As someone living in Singapore for the past seven years, I have had no issues downloading porn here. My private seedbox sits in Canada, but downloading torrents and access to websites like Pornhub have never been an issue for me. Playboy, on the other hand, is blocked.
I guess if it was for private consumption, I guess it is fine. Its Singapore not Saudi Arabia. Lol. Just don’t post scandal videos that will cause viral in the media.

context is, there are photos of underage girls and they were distributed via a fee (to join the group).
the authorities doesn't care if you download porn, as long as you don't distribute or sell them..
..until someone or some group decides to bring this up to them.
