In the case of Toparo, the problem is not about the cotents. It's about the percieved discrimination at the creators.

Their videos abided by YouTube's rules and guidelines, so why are they being demonatised ? The only explanation is that people reported to YouTube the background of the creators and in turn YouTube informed Advertisers about the creators.

Advertisers are reluctant to attached their brands to porn stars despite the YouTube channel being relatively clean of sexual contents. So YouTube plain out flagged the channel.

That's how YouTube work since they want to rebrand themselves as more mainstream since some YouTuber doesn't possess a lot of influences since they seem "more real and approachable than celebrities" YouTube rewind is a good example of what YouTube want their contents to be and what kind of creators they want to show off to ads. Youtubers that upload private challenges like edgy pranks, promiscuous provocative skits all get demonitized nowadays thanks to some that went too far. YouTube hid some of those creators videos, so their new videos and sub rate aren't growing as fast anymore. Be glad their videos aren't taken down again like pewdiepie every other day of the well. It's not like the girls need youtube monetization since it's penny money. It would be better if the agency could get some sponsor, but probably not sex toy. A lot of youtubers made more on referral links, merch, book signing, or other event tour. It's still a good promoting platform. Well, still so much for collaborating with raphael and other youtubers since YouTube is so saturated and older youtuber get more views by click baiting av idols faces on their channel. they should of started their channel earlier. even the t project trio stop filming YouTube. It's pretty much kogawa nowadays.

For the Toparo girls, I suspect that it's not so much about the money.

It's the nagging feeling after being hinted that they are not welcomed and accepted despite trying their best to fit in. There's nothing worse for a Japanese who is raise to be blend into a community. That is why the girls choose to quit on their own accord.

Japan is a polite, traditional, and artsy country if that made sense. They're not totally hypocritical prude that like censored everything since nudity in art and public bath is quite common along with pop culture, famous soap land, sexual innuendo festival, love hotel etc. however, Av is still a shady business under the guise of happy events with fans + they're not doing anything that original and their channel is kind of dated. It's sad that some Asian YouTube might get more clicks and respect sometimes using their names or feature them, which is a lot since av idols perform In Taiwan, Korea, china a lot, so free collab shout out. Also, nozomi aso made the news and she's really just broken and finding excuses that not necessarily manipulative, but she's really trying to live ignorantly. There's also a follow up story on koharu rates and id as well.

Like I said before, not a lot of girls are mentally prepare for what they're getting in to as well as after retirement. All the perks of being an av idol from money, fame, and attentions might turn nasty, which is why some chose to stay anonymous instead of offending their agency or the industry as a whole. It's hard to take them seriously. They're so many sides to the same story. The old guys and directors usually don't get much hate or limelight attention as popular av idols, which are usually shame or feel easy to fondle or grope upon if you seen what kind of fans attend events sometime in Japan, Taiwan, china mainly. There are times they get trash thrown at them and shouting slut shaming as seen with Okazaki and suo's group and Honey popcorn earlier the year. Fans feel bad and some even ask why they did Av given their looks and musical talents. Every industry is saturated and av is good pay/stepping stone or they're just naturally open like Ai uehara or Riley Reid. The things they do are insane physically and mentally and I can't imagine people that are close to them would show what kind of reactions.

Anyway, i dont see much hate comments and usually the haters wouldnt bother dissing them. usually is the same few along with mostly fans offering support. if they're not av idols then theyre probably in the green since its the same stuff Japanese YouTuber and western YouTuber been doing for years. I assume some might watch them without knowing their av idols that sometimes filmed questionable stuffs that's deem normal like r***, kidnap, pedo mirder fantasy. av is going really far In innovations to the point of what's real and where the moral line cuts off. However, real issues like these and many other real issues in the world pales in favor of glorified entertainment like happy porn and more. Don't know how av affect people since every few weeks I check websites like tokyoreporter, there's always some idiot that cant differentiate reality from fantasy and used excuse in watching av to sexually harass mainly school girls.

Shunka Ayami announced Nov 11 will be her last Japan event (she will have a event in Taiwan also). This is a strange thing to announce. And very odd that she is normally very active in promo events, so why announce non-events for a future period (and no hint when she will return to activities).

Playno1 is worried that she will retire soon.

I am concerned that she never recovered from the psychological trauma of the Prestige hack. The worst part isn't just the leakage of the footage, but the sour jerkass comments teasing and bullying her on social network. Yes of course it's a small minority of so-called fans, but I believe she is a thin-skin type who reacts badly to online bullying.

Let's all hope it's just chicken little... I was just fapping to her very excellent new vid.

I always thought that Yui Hatano and Aki Sasaki must be in the top 5. I am very wrong about the world rankings and a newbie about these statistics.
Yui Hatano, a very popular girl with the young guys, in my opinion, should retire while she is at her peak.
She will not be suitable for the MILF market in the years to come.

Search ranking isn't the meaningful indicator of idol's status.

For example, a serious fan would hardly perform any search on his fav idol, because he already owned all her past vids and pre-ordered all her future vids, so no need to search. Search is dominated by "civilians" who are slightly interested but not already familiar with the subject. So when they enter an idol name into search engine, they would not know who are the hottest in the fandom, but they may pick names known to them from other channels.

E.g. Kirara and Yui Hatano are long time vets, so they are much more likely exposed to civilians. But Kirara is already retired in practical terms and has no business being rank #1 on any active list.

Yua and Shoko are legit top ranker, but I wonder if their search ranking are also inflated by their pre-AV fame. Civilians are more likely to "check them out" because of the back story.

Vs. an actual top-ranker say Nene Yoshitaka 吉高寧々who's supposed to be S1's top asset but her AV career is just one year and unknown before then and so relatively unknown to civilians. She doesn't even make top 20 in either men's or women's search ranking.

DMM does publish ranking by sales (I think?) so would be interesting to compare.

Not too long ago, someone was saying he wished Yui Hatano (age 30, porn age 10) would retire now. And then it was Acky (age 34, porn age 15) who unexpectedly announce retirement. I was thinking yeah it's a good topic to discuss who (subjectively of course) ought to retire.

Yui Hatano, 10 years is indeed very long already. I am not her fan, meaning I almost never watch her solo vids. But she still looks hot and she's always a good member in any group sex vid. Obviously she is doing fine at the box office so if she retires, it's not a huge loss to me, but it's still a loss.

Akiho, 15 years is even longer. The way I feel about Acky is 100% identical to Hatano... except hmm maybe Acky doesn't make group sex vid nearly as often. So in a way her retirement may be meaning a very minimal loss for me. OTOH, Akcy has one all time epic classic that will stay in my head for the rest of my life: Unicycle Policewoman. I wrote a long post about it... Anyway I perfectly understand a woman losing drive and passion after 10 or 15 years (an eternity) in AV. Wish her the best. Will be curious her post-retirement career/life (IIRC, she mentioned there's no marriage in the near future)
View attachment 1508638

Two more I mention, I actually wish them to retire:
Yumi Kazama 風間ゆみ (age 39, porn age 19) she is old and fat, which is not a sin. There are plenty of old and/or fat performers, but they only make grandma porn and/or fat porn which doesn't affect me, I don't know their name or face. I want Kazama to retire because (1) she was young and hot once, and I fapped to her early vids plenty, she is the only one of my fav idols who does an Fat Elvis on her fans. (2) Instead of grandma and fat porns (which I easily filtered away), she pops up all the time in series that I'm interested in (JUFD-, JUY-, CESD-). She isn't packaged as old and fat (make-up and fashion like a 45+) but as a "hottie" or MILF, even wearing a sailor suit on a recent cover. Esp on group sex vids, so many times there's a multi-idol cover that I would be very interested in but because she's in the vid I pass it up. Please go away, either retire, or at least get off my fav series and act like your age and weight.

View attachment 1508655

翔田千里, I won't bother finding her English name... . She's grandma idol so I have no business knowing and complaining about her. I admit including her is entirely unfair and petty, only to inflate my list here and vent my frustration she nearly ruined a viewing experience with Yui Hatano and Mio Kimijima in Prostitution mother child family. Well curiously Yui Hatano was the name that started this discussion and Mio Kimijima is also debatable if she should retire already. Anyway the theme was interesting Yui and Mio are (still) fappable, esp. together. So I checked it out and only to be hit by the "mother" who I didn't pay attention to. OK it's my fault not researching her before getting the vid, it's my fault I got erectile dysfunction for 10 minutes but I'm blaming her and calling for her retirement. She ruined a vid with Mio and Yui, she has no business in any vid with any idol that I can name. Yes notice she was on the last cover too.

Competitions. Yui is rumored to be 36 since one of her title earlier the month was tagline with that age. Tia and nozomi aso, the boob implants and chin sharpener are examples of those that down their age by 4-7 years. Even amatsuka moe who's playing teeny schoolgirls with high pitch voice is rumored to be 3-4 years older than what she claims. Anyway, av idols unlike western porn lower their age instead of up it to join the industry early. Most of her close "friends" are younger or retired already like anri okita, who was starting to sag and her face was becoming more bloated. Even yuria got Botox to stay relevance and without av, some might be nothing especially with no other talent, degree, or someone to rely or capitalize on. Yui only friend in her age group is Hibiki, who's rumor might retired before her. Also, unlike akiho or Jessica kizaki, who seem to join the healthy meal diet along with gym exercising to stay fit and young. Yui gifted body is deteriorating and she's been filming housewives and milfs more than anything young in the last decade since she doesn't possess any petite body like shuri. She still got the gene, so I would say she could still do well or will do better if she stay in shape. I mean JLo is 50 and looking great. I feel like she's typecasated in milf roles for a while and downgraded to film nearly everything except for anal. I mean she filmed with honor quest old ugly guys many times as well as different trans for the last few title in the last month. Not to mention some fatties like koharu and the midget director, which might be a favor thingpim. Not picky like shoko, but not crazy like ai uehara. More align with kana yume. Mikami yua is doing some rougher and crazier guys like arina . The roughness for new av idols these days along with probably competitions and pay cuts with av downsizing probably pushed akiho and asuka to retirement after they're done with their contract. Diva or not, asuka Can still caprilize on her fan base for selling merch and doing events. Even rio and yuma, who didn't find that many opportunities like mihiro, sora aoi, saori hara or Maria Ozawa, who coincidently are all in relationships still show up once in a while for meet up. However, Some just vanished or fell in to escorting or using sugar dady fan money. Aino kishi, miyuki Alice, miyuki yokoyama gone silent after ideapocket.rlmi some wonder what happened to their faith after leaving the limelight. All the perks such as attentions, gifts, and money will fade away with age as new girls rise to the top. Heard some pink actresses in hk and another av idol probably debut around yua Aida suffer economical problem.

Continuing earlier point: Ai Uehara (fully retired 2.5 years ago) has no business at 10th in any ranking. Yet another data suggesting search ranking is not the be all end all.

So... perhaps the female:male ratio is also skewed towards non-buying civilians. How many vids do female visitor buy vs. male visitors? Probably the 30+% search by female visitor is inflated.

I just looked at some Chinese forums that even claim yui is 38 posing to be a teen. She can act though from serious jerk bully to fans in movies, vulnerable r*** victim, obsessed slut, and naive princess wife. I used to think she can capitalize on her success like sora aoi and branch out after a few forgeign movies, but now she's getting old and typecasting again. Even some tweets tease her for getting saggy, wrinkly, and fat. Like Ai uehara, she's trying to covers every av Categories since it's always quantity for her. Looks like their yt channel is going to fade since yt can also slow their views down by not recommending their videos. also, after ruka left, the former meme tproject group is getting their own 2.0. The pickiness is what probably drive aki, rio, and asuka away. However, they're still popular enough to sell and draw crowd to their event. Ayami and Hibiki are probably comsiderating or they want better perks in their contracts, which is why amami stayed. You really need to stay young or retire at your peak. Yui need diet and exercise before she need to get botox herself. Ayaka too. Also, ai uehara is rumored to appear in runs retirement av or maybe is one of those prank thing with phone calls.wd rio just had a meetup a few weeks ago and attend a few parties with other av idols. Aino did show up for muscat and sora aoi wedding party, but not akiho retirement event. She's still slim, but her skin conditions is getting worst. Less makeup, more acne and she was getting eye bags and some "wrinkles" like Julia during her final year, but it's a bit worst for her. Her last few posts were about the Japan natural disasters.fg

It really depends on the country, social media presences, and piracy searches.there are mainstream movies that bombed and are hated by critics, but became cult fav in DVD sales. Someone like sora aoi will always be remember as the av poster girl and disputes retiring In 2010 like mihiro, she still amass 19 millions weibo followers and gets hundred of thousands to tune in to her streams. The same with kirara asuka getting millions on tweet and Instagram. Ai uehara is one of those that you can't avoid since she's in everything, so people might have seen or bought her stuffs without knowing. Yui, yua, and shoko are always on fanza homepage along with few top girls like arina, moe, and atomi, but despite a few tour to Taiwan, Korea, hk, and china, it's obvious they're still growing and not as big as what their agencies promoted them as in money making wise for event or tv appearances or even on yt topic collab compares to Yui, sora, and Maria once was. Some also worked better as a group with heavy makeup singing idol group that draws other crowds as well. The ex idol and junior idol past they're building towards can URk or get forgettable fast. Also, they're lucky Av is still not ban in china yet despite some celebrities like Justin bieber were banned for harming youths. The same almost happened to yui hatano celebrity look alike back a few years ago for the sexy lingerie ads. Av does get censored in search results and probably turn a blind eye to the shady events. I mean a lot of news come to light for either uncensored arrest, drug, pedo, pimping, consent vs involuntarily brainwash coerced, and more. Also, the mosaic gone back to bricks and no more school girl or public orgy at some beach set. It's a strange world we live in with someone like trump becoming a president is a joke and celebrities getting forgiveness or directors getting expose for some shady shit that prople turn a blind eye and refuse to believe. even fame manga author is known to be a pedophile that collects amateur underage "porn" still get supports and investors. It takes a few years for some went from provocative to prudedr. Everything is just "happy" and normal since there decades of history in av filming and events. With piracy nowadays, more outside gigs are needed as well as upping the titles. If you rewatched the famous debut of many popular av idols in the 00s and early 10s, they're very tame and now you debut with the Jaba the hut or even one of those smelly old dude get some hard gb after a handful of titles. Sales are tough. It isn't as real as going to a strip club to see all the guys using profanity. There so many crazy dark examples if you went to one like some poor guys get humiliated, obsessive touchy guys that girls are too afraid to refuse, and more. Av are good at disguising themselves to be anime like goddess to avoid the sense of reality, rejection, or get left out because of discrimination.

silent1one: PLEASE USE PARAGRAPHS.
Yui Hatano is not in her mid-thirties. Not even close. I am 100% sure on this one.
Please don't dignify him with a rebuttal.

The real age doesn't matter. Yui Hatano is still popular where it counts. Sour jerkass will only die if everyone ignores them.

Ai Uehara (fully retired 2.5 years ago) has no business at 10th in any ranking.

She was never my cup of tea (only really enjoyed a handful of her realeases, like EBOD-386), but it's possible she's still riding the wave of her glory days.
The cute girl next door look, contrasting with such a strong appetite for sex is something females desire in a performer apparently. However, other girls like Tsubomi share the same qualities (and she's way cuter in my book).

Perhaps women just look at porn in a different light.

Well, ai uehara slim down after retirement, but might guest appear in ruka retirement or might just be a publicity stunt or phone call. She kind of looks better now from honevent photo back a while ago. Real or fake age matters or not, but to stay relevant you still need look good or else you won't be filming with the best and getting other gig booked by your agents. Akiho, Jessica, and sarasa are some that really looks like they take good care of themselves from their diet, gym excercise on top of their good genetics.

I am so eff-ing lost in this ... ?conversation? It's the kind of conversation I have with the crazy homeless guy I just gave 50 cents to. No, I really don't need to know which is your favorite brand of cigarette, because I know you pick up half-used butts from the trash.

I don't give a rat excretion so-and-so idol is not your cup of tea. Many many successful, beautiful idols are not my cup of tea. Do I spend my time explaining why? Do expect anyone to care why so-and-so isn't my cup of tea?

Yui Hatano isn't really my cup of tea either. I have fapped more times than some of you had coffees in your life and I rarely rarely fap to Yui Hatano. But why would I think anyone need to read my reasons for that? Same for Ai Uehara, both are not my fapping friend, but they do a difficult job that most people don't want to do, and they give pleasure to many many men. That's nobler than most lawyers. They have never done anything against me or talk shit about (say) Taylor Swift or anyone.

So rather than say shit about either of them, I would rather talk about idols I do fapping to, or vids that I enjoy. If I still have time after all that, I might prefer to smack down anyone who attack them for no reason (other than sour jerkass-ity).

Have anyone see anything official?

In practice, she did retire, but to be precise, she seems to have only disappeared, or faded out. She finished her 6 vids with S1 (seems 6 is a magical number) and even for those vids, she was especially cautious, making no public appearance, no interview, and not even trailers (sample vids free to view) for any of her S1 vids. So be thankful she did complete the 6-vid contract.

Seems her vids did sell very well, maybe I should check her out...
