My take on Rion is that she got herself in trouble with her agency. The trigger likely was this video in which she appeared to be revealing her real name and exchanging contacts with a random Korean Youtuber. There's probably multiple breaches of contract in regards to her agency in this video alone.

What else did she do in the video that would be a breach of contract? It looked like they just talked a bit.

Was it really a chance encounter where he recognized her as an idol or he thought he was just talking to a random pretty girl? Anybody with better language skills able to summarize what they talked about?

I hope and wish this thread to be pure news and gossip. But why does my wish matters to anyone?

It seems my contribution such as that 26-news post is appreciated so why don't I post news whenever I see them??? Because IMHO this thread is ruined by noise and discussion. When I come in here I am likely to see things that I just want to walk away, rather than contribute either some nugget of truth/fact and/or a piece of my mind.

Even "harmless" follow-up like A big loss to me (agree, love Rion too); How the mighty have fallen (appreciate the reminder of past glory); Good summary (thanks! of all people I appreciate your approval); don't look at me (funny, if mostly because it's so dumb and annoying); incomprehensible stream of consciousness (speechless). Even many of my own posts (like responsible for quote and all that bold ), all these are noise, the kind of posts I wish not to see in this thread any more.

Not to mention many hateful posts that I found absolutely disgusting.

Take it to the chatroom or even better to new thread (new topic) or existing thread, such as Rion's own thread (it's got 3 full years of posts to it).

For the record, I am skeptical, doubtful and dismissive of each and any and everything that @jwlim80 put out that's not directly traceable to external documentation. @jwlim80 you put out some good stuffs, on Akiba you are the only one following every idol's every tweets and translating some (perhaps biased) samples of it. But you mix in a lot of absolute subjective garbage poison. So I need to read you post, because sometimes I go, "Oh, That's going on ", but most of time, I go "oh, he is going on, again o_O"

Just a simple question, is it sure that girl in the vid is Rion? I am very doubtful. Her face, height and mannerism doesn't seem Rion to me.
I'm like 99% sure it's her. It looks like her, sounds like her, you can see the outline of boobs through her big coat, which would be unusual for a different Asian woman who did look like her.

I will say I disagree with jlim's theory though. Given that everything he says is true (I don't follow enough of the language to make out the dialogue), I don't think that would be enough to warrant her getting fired. Financially, it makes no sense, and money is what would matter the most to a company like a talent agency. Rion isn't as huge of a star as she was when she first debuted/redebuted, but she's still big enough, sells enough DVDs, and did the occasional event such that there isn't really a commercial benefit towards abruptly firing her. She always seemed shy and was pretty clearly into porn for the money over everything else, so unless we get better confirmation I think it's far more likely that she just made enough money/got tired of it/got a boyfriend or whatever.

I sympathize with Ding here. Just take a look at the first pages of this thread, plenty of translated news articles from industry insiders and a few short comments. Now it is all personal speculations, personal ideas about JAV industry, polemics between partecipants, walls of text which repeat again and again the same stuff, and very little actual news. Hope noone's offended, but I certainly miss the first version of this thread, when the gossip was intended as translations of gossip news from news websites, compared to the current version, when it mostly is users' gossiping.

I agree, there's probably a middle ground between ding's separate thread and what we have here in the thread now. I think it makes sense to keep discussion about posted rumors on here- so the Rion discussion, for example, should stay-but some of the off-topic stuff of users just arguing with each other should probably go.

Reposting this from the observation of JAVTweets (https://twitter.com/JAVTweets/status/1044947522697945094) :-

My take on Rion is that she got herself in trouble with her agency. The trigger likely was this video in which she appeared to be revealing her real name and exchanging contacts with a random Korean Youtuber :-

There's probably multiple breaches of contract in regards to her agency in this video alone. Having a history of changing agencies and name, I assume she got blamed and fucked her relationship with T-Powers, who then terminated her.
The worry - if this theory is true - is that her reputation with other talent agencies is probably pretty bad after something like this. T-Powers is a big name, and management companies dislike girls who can't behave professionally.
You'd think everything is simple, and all is well as long as it sells. But this is a rather small world with very traditional work relationships, where behavior and integrity are highly valued.
From T-Powers point of view, having one of their girls showing this type of behavior is just bad for business. It shows their incapacity at protecting their models privacy and image.

I can confirm that the Agencies do spent time policing Social Media accounts to protect the images of their assets :-

Need to be an approved collab like those that interview and play a part in prank and skit for Taiwan and hk YouTuber. Positive gain either monetary cut or some sort of sponsor or way that will make her more well known positively then she can take time to film with you. Japan is very stict with their idols and evens av idols. There are so many family and Friends posting photos of an idol or even idols themselves censoring the faces of fans at some private gathering wre ask to take their photos down. I don't think fans need that much protection and most fans are smart enough to differentiate reality from fiction. Contracts with big companies want to protect their image, but come on in av too, everything they present as real personal can be staged and fake like intervene and social posts. No freedom and just leave everything to your company and be a good girl getting pow by all sort of guy on camera ranging from hunks to some ugly jabba convict looking uncle. This sounds fine.

Anyone know who the AV actress is who got HIV recently?

I looked around but couldn't find any names, I don't think they will be able to keep this quiet for too long. I'm seeing a lot of comments from people saying it's because they were most likely hooking with Chinese/Korean customers which I'm guessing is just racism. I'm sure this will be something that leads to strict testing like the US requires.

So far the industry is keeping her id secret. The industry claims that they can confirm it was not acquired during a AV production and that she did not infect anyone else in the industry. How they can be so sure and so assuring, I am not too sure. I guess they already determined how she caught the virus (by unclean needle?).

The group making most noise are the male studs. Most of the time they wear condoms in filming, but not the whole time. Sometimes they shoot some non-ejaculation sex acts (esp. blowjob) without condom. The thinking was first to protect the girls, no ejaculation = no (low?) risk. But the industry neglected the risk of female to male infection, so the studs are all crying foul.

The news article bring up AV人権倫理機構 AV Human Right Ethics Organization. The special interest group is keen to exploit this to push 「本番禁止」 which I think means banning of penetration sex. Since pink film already exists, what's the difference between AV with 本番禁止 and pink films? Basically AV Human Right Ethics Organization wants to wipe out AV.

All JAV performers already submit to monthly blood test. Is US porn more strict than that? Daily blood test?

It's always interesting to me. HIV can spread quite easily. Testing once a month wouldn't be enough. Not by a long shot. Guess thats the risk you take for working in the av industry.

I do hope her name doesn't get out.
