So, I have a new phone, a Microsoft Lumia 950 XL, with "BOBOVR Z4" headset .
But it's a windows phone, so only one "360° player" in the app store, but that didn't show 3D... and without 3D it's not worth it.
So I have to wait for a new app.

(but I love my new phone ;) )
Hey good luck with that. Glad you like your new phone!

Hmm the thread seems a bit quiet.

@dafuck Alcatel just released their new windows mobile phone with VR. I guess there are VR apps included with that and those apps should be popping out in the windows store soon. So you might want to keep a lookout for it. On a side note, windows is working with PC vendors to release VR headset which are cheaper than occulus and HTC hive, so I guess VR proliferation is in sight and that is good for us all (those app designed for the headset might be UWP and applicable for use on mobile as well).

@Casshern2 Thanks for uploading opg014-017. I think this particular video is a good example of VR recording done right. Guess Japan AV has been improving on their skills. Hope we have more quality video like this.
Continue to keep those videos coming (still looking forward to those video I am eyeing). You are our savior in keeping this thread going.
Hope we have more people joining in the discussion and sharing.

@ether202 Why don't you consider a cheaper option like the headset using Smartphone (you can refer to my previous post about the review for the headset) ? The cost barrier is definitely lower than HTC Vive and Oculus. I don't foresee the 2nd gen VR to come out so soon in the near future, but it is definitely progressing with more vendors jumping in (give it another 2 or 3 years). The price point of hardware should also go down gradually.

@Casshern2 I supposed you meant video from AVVR (not KVVR)? Bummer, why would one want to look around the room lol (360 and not actual VR) . The immersion experience is totally different. How about video from Hbox.jp? Any experience with them? The screenshot looks good for some video.

Anyway, you are on a roll man. Keep those videos coming. Looking forward to these 2.

@Casshern2 Awesome man! Thanks for ofks030_3dv and ofks014_3dv!

@omegaflare No he meant Knights-Visual VR-movie... http://www.knights-visual.com/works/muryou/free-008/ .. you can download it for free.. but it's worthless because it's not in 3D
Damn! Why even make a "VR" movie if it's not in 3D?! Can you even call it VR if it's not in 3D?!?! :frown:

Hopefully they will catch on though and release an entire "prep school" movie in real 3D!

I will be totally bold and shameless and ask for these now:

No, I meant KV as in Knights (you know what). They've been teasing adding "VR" to their videos, but if you look at their latest pre-releases they have screenshots at the end that even have "360 VR" watermarked and plastered across the top of the screen. Lame.
