yes sometimes the uncenssored came out earlier than the censsored
but mostly I seen those from 1pondo, carribean, ecc are just video clips (some scenes taken from other full video)
but I really wish Satomi Suzuki still active or if she already retired she will make comeback as soon as possible, JAV will be more fun with her
to add to Inertia & vietbub's comments above, I was recently reading about JULIA and in her bio it claimed that, since Julia became an active JAV performer, over 6,000 JAV actresses have come and gone! You wonder what is it that keeps the girls working, as in, continuing to be hired. I read a Kaho Kasumi interview in which she said when she started out she got an 8-year contract from IdeaPocket (DMM), and after that contract expired, she went freelance for about a year-and-a-half before retiring. But for the girls who don't have those long-term deals, is their longevity strictly related to the sales success of their videos?
The reason I wonder is that I get the updates from DMM and R18 and oftentimes, I am mystified by the week's or month's "top sellers." Usually they are not the big stars and, when I make it a point to watch some of the so-called "top-selling" videos, they aren't bad but they truly pale in comparison to much of the other stuff that's out there and that I follow.
So, longevity may be related to a star's sales success but I don't think it's 100% that way. If anyone knows more I'd be interested in learning the reason(s).

Gosh how many actresses have there been since Acky debuted? that would be an impossible number to figure out
I'm not from the industry so I can't give valid information, but I do believe sales success rate or market respon related to their longevity
like in other bussiness, they must crawl from the floor before they can reach the top spot, most of them did not survive at this stage, I think survival of the fittest work in here
only they who had strong will, determination + ofcourse whose lucy enough that can survive
and I believe many of them who don't have long career in AV its not only because they don't attract studios to hire them or because their videos sales are low, but their decission not to go further, some of them decided only to try, after few videos or only one video they stop
Anyone remember Misa Makise? debuted in 2012, and retired in 2013? Well after a 3 year hiatus she's back as Hina Kuraki, she's yet to grace the censored scene in a relevant way since her return, but she's done a few uncensored releases

Excellent observation, I never check their top (vids and idols) lists but your post supports one of my big suspicions about DMM.
Unlike Amazon, DMM isn't just a e-tailer. DMM owns a big chunk of the whole industry, and faces no credible competition. Notice a lot of big titles (major studios and top stars) are exclusive to DMM. With such a dominant position, it would be very tempting, it would be STUPID not to cheat, at least a little. With top stars and major labels/studios/series already selling themselves, why not fake some top sales figures for some titles that otherwise would go unnoticed?
Amazon basically "invented" sales ranking, and it became not a data collecting and disclosure exercise, but a marketing tools to boost sales. No one makes a decision to buy JK Rowling because of sales ranking, but there are many unknown authors and books became overnight success thanks to sales ranking. There's no point to put Julia or Yua Mikami on the top selling list, they have their fanbase and don't need (and won't benefit from) it. So fudge some sales numbers for the lesser stars and titles, and dupe some DMM customers to sample them. The upside maybe questionable, but the downside is zero. So why not do it? It's not like another company (Amazon.jp ???) could up and replace DMM, and it wouldn't be the result of Amazon's sales ranking being more honest, right?
But ... how it relates to longevity, well first I am arguing some of those top sales figures is fake (just like idol's name, age and bust size). Second is yes of course sales is a basic requirement for a long career, but actually I would prefer that in general, girls don't let money completely dictate their lives. So... suppose some idols enjoy a decent sales, and still decide to quit, I think it's a good thing that they have that option. Take an example, China Matsuoka, I like her very much and still looking forward to more interesting genre vids from her (e.g. fan fest) but she retired (all of a sudden??). I'm very saddened by this, but still ... happy that she could quit while still young and maybe have a "real" career or family.

Techincally she never retired, just went on Hiatus because she was in jail for 2 years? Though it's interesting that Maxing would sign her up, especially since they cut Nozomi Aso for her drug arrest, Minako has a bad history with drugs
China retired suddenly because of a bad car accident, I don't think she intended to retire but the injuries where just too much and she had to stop
