Similar issues in US porn. Industry is not for the faint hearted.

yes

some man would marry ex porn star

but I think just few who want to build a real family with active porn star, very few who willing to let his wife having sex with other males

Most US porn stars' husband/boyfriend/manager is a glorified pimp. They ALWAYS keep an eye on their moneymaker.

Shinozaki Yu, Aoba Yuna, Honoka Hana, Marina Shiina,...
These young and hot actress would never come back to the industry.
Perhaps in the next ten years, all of my favorite actresses in my list at the moment will retire and I will be family man and no longer interested in JAV. Haha, who can predict anything? Maybe your actress will announce her retirement the very next day.

never say never

like you said who can predict anything ?

some of our favorite actresses can announce their sudden retirement, and some of retired girls can make sudden comeback too

It kind of suck that their is no root in JAV Idols to jump from in front of the camera to behind it to direct or produce JAVs.

would be great if we can see famous girls direct their own AV

but I think the system in JAV is not like that ?

+1
It could be culture/JAV bias. Imagine Maria Ozawa opening her own JAV distribution business and controlling content. IMO she could attract a lot of talent to jump ship from other studios. Perhaps studios discourage talent from becoming competition.

yes I think so too

if the most famous girls can't girl job without agent, and they don't own their stage name, its mean agencies and studios that had total controll in the industry ?

"Maria Ozawa opening her own JAV distribution business and controlling content."

It's possible but there's already a billion agencies already. Maria Ozawa may be popular herself, but that's not enough to get people to jump ship from current agencies as it's not the front-face of it that counts the most. I know of one agency (http://model-vita.jp/) that has a former/current(?) actress who also is the head of it and that's all I can come up with. Myuu used to run a different agency called Hustler and I'm not sure why she jumped ship from there (or perhaps the name just changed, but then why would that happen?).

There's a been a few cases of AV stars directing after retiring. The problem is directing pays nowhere near as much as acting. Minaki Saotome went on to direct a few lesbian titles after retiring from being an AV star and then there's S&M mistress Natsuki Aoyama who sometimes directs and stars (in non-sexual roles) in some titles. The latter has lamented on Twitter on how she wishes to direct more pure S&M titles, but it's either throw in sex as well or don't get any directing work.

Speaking of AV actresses in management positions. Back on Scanlovers I've read that Tsubomi is in some sort of management position backstage, and that she's dealing with some of the newer girls contracts and stuff, but I'm not sure if the dude was just talking out of his ass the whole time. Anyone know anything about this?

Good question. A star like Maria Ozawa could make big changes in JAV such as 'owning' her stage name or creating new distribution system.

Dreams are made of this stuff.

If Maria Ozawa's goal was to become famous and stick it to JAV, what better way than to build a more successful studio?

It's fun to speculate but if she did...just sayin'.

"The return part is a clear indication of how bad the sex industry in Japan is doing. It use to be brief career then retirement and banking off of your fandom in the sex industry."

Totally disagreed. For every famous AV star of the aughts, there's a thousand who did a few movies and dropped out without looking back. The sex industry is probably one of the few industries that are doing fine and dandy.
Thats false. Because of the 2008 recession and the continued micro-recession, essentially no real economic recovery, prices in the sex industry has dropped considerably and is no longer profitable like it was before. In addition, similar to the AV industry, there is now an increased amount of girls going into the industry compared to years prior.

vietbub: TokyoReporter's translating the Nikkan SPA which is a tabloid magazine. Take what they say there with a big grain of salt. That's like defending Weekly World News or the Daily Mail.

Example:

“In Yoshiwara, there are options starting up whereby customers can get in and out in 30 minutes for 6,000 yen,”

In reality, you may see soaplands offer 6,000 yen 'service charges', but unlike most other brothels, the big fee for a soapland is the fee paid to the woman which is more often than not, NOT advertised on the site. One big soapland conglomerate I know of charges a flat rate of 25,000 yen for 2 hours, but once you book, they will then tell you that's just the entrance fee and it's another 50,000+ for the girl.

Anyway, this is going wildly off tangent from the AV industry.

Satomi Suzuki isn't still in the business ? I see uncensored releases and the last is from august.

Natsume Iroha/Sarasa Hara is IMHO among the most beautiful AV performers in the world. The Russian babe Anjelica/Abby/Ebbi is another. Those two babes have runway-model looks, international-level beauty. Now, if only Natsume would be as hardcore adventurous as Anjelica, e.g., lots of anal sex, that would be a dream come true.
