Episode 1 has been uploaded. New E01 patch. DDLs are fully updated. Torrent available here. To the 1 unfortunate guy with the broken v2, sorry bro just download v3 (though I might be willing to trade a v2 to v3 patch for a *cough*thanks*cough*.

UPDATE: Here's the patch for EP02 (also attached to this post). The DDL links are already v2.

Where's all my NTR fans at? I'm bringing it back to my roots today; those roots being hentai and DVD encoding of course. For your viewing (and/or raging) pleasure: Hitou Meguri Kakure Yu reencoded, retimed, and revised. Subdesu-H did something weird when they encoded this and as a result it looks pretty bad. As one of my favorite NTR titles I figured it deserved an update. Only EP02 for today but Episode 01 is being worked on as well and will probably be out by Monday. I am also considering doing Mao Hen and The Animation as well; but this episode was the only one that was in urgent need of a decent encode. You'll notice that annoying blue tint everywhere and I tried so very hard to get rid of it but in the end I'm taking the cowards way out and assuming that's how the producers wanted it. As kind of a side effect of that, I ended up spending a lot of time tuning the colors so they are very close to the source (on a computer at least; probably not as excellent on a TV). As for the script it is mostly the original SD-H script but I retimed about half the lines (wasn't a fine of the original timing) and made some edits that probably took it further from a literal translation but I think read like more natural English. No comparisons with SD-H because the resolutions are different so it wouldn't do much and I think this will get the point across nicely:

Can you guess which is which? (To be fair I definitely cherry picked that frame. That being said, this isn't the only frame that got fucked and it's definitely noticeable even at normal FPS)

PS: Quentin Torrentino.
PPS: Also, I'm totally dropping those Illya remuxes. Loligeddon's release are just fine and they are going to fix the styling at some point. Plus I keep forgetting when the next volume comes out and only remember week(s) later when it's not relevant.

[JLP] 秘湯めぐり 隠れ湯 Hitou Meguri Kakure Yu 01

Yo, yo, yo. Here's episode 01. It's encoded in anamorphic 720x480. I hate anamorphic and think that 848x480 (or 640x480) is 100% of the time the way to go but I hate when people don't set the PAR correctly in x264 even more. If you ever MediaInfo something and it says Original DAR: blah, DAR: bleh that means the encoder was an idiot and only set the DAR in MKVMerge. I think this is unacceptable. It should be set as the video is being encoded. In x264 this is done with the PAR modifier. Here is an example of a properly encoded anamorphic video. No screens because I'm lazy as shit and also have work in 5 hours; but other than the aspect ratio it looks mostly the same as episode 02. Also, I got bored of retiming/editing the subs so when I do the torrent there will likely be a v2. Also, gradientfactory for Aegisub kinda broke so I had to just copy the title from episode 02. I want to fix it for the v2 but I have no idea what broke so don't hold your breath. It looks fine anyway, just overlaps the Japanese a little.
On a nobody really cares note, I figured out what was up with gradient factory. If you attach fonts in Aegisub then try to run gradientfactory you get a lua runtime error. Ironically enough, if you forget to reattach the subs (either after you apply all the gradients you need or just in MKVMerge) then MKVMerge yells at you about malformed lines or something and your subs won't load (this is what happened to the ill-fated EP01v2. Luckily by the time I caught that the broken v2 had only been downloaded once. I did scrap an entire torrent to reupload it though which I'm sure pissed some people. Oh well.
