woah, d. that's one hell of a collection. must be hard to manage 'em.

    • eonmode
      Amazing collection.
    • nicetomeetyou
I was wondering how would your collection look like. It's... impressive!
    • desioner
Thanks fellas. It's getting bigger by the month. The updated photo tomorrow should be even more impressive. As for managing it, 5 words. Card board boxes & Microsoft Excell!
Although to scale up on the expansion I'm going to have to loose the boxes and the cases. I'll be transferring everything to binders to save space.
    • CodeGeek
Yeah, that's really awesome. "desioner, his awesomeness." ;)
    • blackdragon108
not sure how long it took you to collect that, but it is a small fortune there
    • desioner
Yea, I must admit it's pretty awesome. It's gonna look strange in binders, perhaps a little less awesome.
That's about 3-4 years worth. Before I started doing special orders I was part of a DVD Club team and we purchased a lot of these together.
But after the second major akiba crash the Club dissipated. I'm planning to get it back up and running again.

      Holy crap thats impressive!!!

May i ask what portion is Rei material? ;)
    • desioner
Only a small percentage is Rei. While I do have a lot of her stuff there's just too much other stuff to make it seem like much.

What's your most rare gem among them?
    • desioner
Good question, there are a few but I guess that the one that was the hardest & most expensive for me to get was [BKDV-00234] あおい13歳 藤永あおい
    • zoolanimal
well, there is some room for expansion. i put up japanese wall paper similar to this at a prior office. beautiful. unfortunately i owned a rambunctious Charlie the Cat that excerised by climbing the walls - what a waste! more importantly how do you hook the DVD covers to the wall?
    • Beam~
So are you getting rid of the DVD cases (with the inlay papers too?)?
That doesn't sound like a good idea, sure it saves some space but in a retrospective way you're going to regret that decision some day surely. Like people who used to throw away the boxes / cases, instructions and whatever's that came with the old console games, they sure regret it now, some of the boxes alone are worth around 1000$ a piece. So seriously don't.
And like if you ever come to a situation where you really have to sell everything for whatever reason then it's a lot more valuable collection with all the original contents, not just the discs.
    • desioner
@Beam~ The only thing I'm getting rid of are the cases. As they're easily replaceable. With DVDs & most CDs the originals have no value. It's just a plastic case. The inlays are not being thrown out I never said that. They're going to be archived into binders.
