All threads are for everyone to share in, otherwise they would be private messages. Monster is great! Watching that one right now.....

Most anime (and manga) are targeted towards teen audiences so even the dark anime tends to be teen orientated. Look through the annime torrent section, there are that should be to your liking. Recently posted there is Shigurui: Death Frenzy, which you might enjoy. Death Parade is another one, give Black Lagoon a try, Death Note particularly comes to mind but I would strongly suggest putting up with the first episode or two of Puella Magi Madoka Magica and see if that isn't dark enough for you. There are more but branch out and see if you can find others in that section. I am a big horror fan so I tend to share dark anime there as well.

Claymore is another....the list goes on....

Thx for suggesting Blue Gender, I will give that a try.

Watching Blue Gender now, that is some fucked up shit....loving it. Have you seen Attack on Titan, Kinghts of Sidonia or the mecha RahXephon? Those sound right up your alley too....maybe even the mecha Zegapain. That should be enough to last for awhile ya bro.

Thx again for the suggestion, I found a half-decent rip of Blue Gender and will post that if the encode remains decent throughout the series. I have come across quite a few bad encodes lately, I know it is a pain in the ass but people should double check their work on every episode. I won't share a torrent that includes something wrong with the subtitles or audio sync if I find them (I usually only watch the english dub though....yeah I know....but I am not going to watch every episode twice, that is the encoders job).

Waiting for the complete blueray release on Ajin as a lot of the real violent anime are censored.

Those are all good brother. After watching Blue Gender, if that is an indicator as to what you like, then you will love those 4 (especially the last three). The second season of Knights of Sidonia was just recently released on blueray in Japan (the English Blueray hasn't become available yet should be soon though). I can't wait though because that was a killer anime.

One Punch Man (this is the current big hit. It's a gag-comedy battle story. Easy and fun to watch).

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure (especially the 3rd arc, Stardust Crusaders. If you can only watch 48 episodes of Jojo, watch Stardust Crusaders).

Hikaru no Go (this was the major series that really made it big for Obata Takeshi, before he continued on to draw Death Note. All the girls from my past loved this story).

Slam Dunk (this is about basketball. This is a bucketlist series that everyone should watch; or actually finish reading, since the plot only concludes in the manga).

Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust (dark, gritty, sci-fi fantasy. The character design was originally done by Yoshitaka Amano who became famous for Final Fantasy 1-6, and 9. I've rewatched this movie so many times, because its such a great and touching story).

Maison Ikkoku (most of my friends say this is their favorite series done by Rumiko Takahashi. It is a better paced, realistic, most complete romance comedy over her later works of Ranma 1/2, Inuyasha, etc).

Berserk (everyone that I have recommended Berserk to loves Berserk.

Prince of Tennis (fun to watch, addicting impossible tennis and great sportsmanship).

Golgo 13 (This has got to be the longest running manga in history. Like over 40 decades worth. I recommend watching the TV series first for something easy to watch. The movie is pretty dark, noirish. There's sex and blood in both the TV series and the 2 movies, but the movies are more graphic).

Gundam The Origin (Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, the artist, is like an idol role model for many of the current famous artists. Clamp (responsible for Chobits, X, xxxholic, Tsubasa Chronicle, RG Veda) are practically on his nuts and revere him as a god over his art and story telling ability. This new anime OVA series is the beginning of the whole Gundam Universal Century timeline, which includes 0083 Stardust Memory, Gundam UC, and Char's Counterattack, among others).

Initial D (this is another bucketlist anime. It has singlehandedly raised the value of Toyota Corolla GT-S's in the US. It used to be you could buy the car for $800 or so. Now, finding one in decent condition will probably be at least $3,000. Most Initial D fans go on to watch a lot of Best Motoring, Hot Version, Option vids and open up to watching Top Gear, Fifth Gear, and more car related stuff. )

That's all for now.

Baccano! is a must-watch! Great action set pieces, drama and interesting characters to hold it all together. Note that it's more "adult" oriented in tone and not teen angsty drama shonen. Not saying it doesn't have its typical anime dressings, but it strays from your average action anime.

If you like funny animes and don't mind watching something that's a little old, try "The Irresponsible Captain Tylor".

Guaranteed to have you in stitches.
