I'm curious wat is the size of your monitor (diagonal in inches)and wat is the resolution on that moniror? To start of my monitors 2x 24" Samsung monitors resolution 1920x1200 and a 32"Samsung tv 1920x1080 (not my only tv)
2x 24" DELL at 1920x1200 and a 42" Philips TV at 1920x1080 (but I use the TV only for watching longer videos).
That's what i call a big ass monitor doesn't your neck hurt after a while because if you use a screen of that size you're likely the use your neck more than you would move your eyes
27 inch, 2560 x 1440 on the desktop. I'm waiting until the UHD's and 4K monitors get HDMI 2.0, then when the price is right I'll upgrade.
My computer's main monitor is a 24" DELL LCD that I got with the computer before this one, I also have my old 32" Sony HD Trinitron CRT TV (thing weights like 280 pounds) hooked up to the computer for watching videos. So I should really update those sometime. For the majority of video watching I run them through a 55" Sony Bravia LED TV.
Some of you guys are giving me "monitor envy", cut it out! It is not the size of the monitor that counts but how you use it!
Funny you should say that, my neck has being hurting me over the last few weeks! Now I know why!! I just thought it was because of the way I was sitting...
If you can, try to sit a little bit further away from the screen so your eyes can see the whole screen without moving your head. ideally its better if you have a smaller monitor People who use a big monitor use them because they need a lot of space on the screen (designers among others) The disadvantage of a big monitor is that you're going to move your head a lot and cause neckpain
