D'oh! I missed that....
However, my computer never seems to successfuly load your JVR page, which is strange since I've always been able to before a few months ago.

2 possible reasons:

1) You're connected from a company network/proxy server where normally they block all high ports. i.e. port 9880. Most companies for security reason only allow common ports. i.e port 80 for web.

2) You're using an older version of IE, Opera, Firefox, etc. Try updating to a newer version. My Firefox 3/4/5/6/7 could not always load the SOD page, for example, without crashing. Google Chrome never crashes on me.

Yes and the original sources are usually blurry anyways, so regardless what bitrate or how many passes you re-encode, the video quality is shit anyways. For the newer Jade videos, they are slightly better quality but as soon as you watch the video on a 1680x1050 or 1920x1080 size screen (22" inch TV or more), the videos are very blocky. But if you play this video on a mobile phone like an iPhone 4 and a Samsung Galaxy II, they look awesome!

PS. I only re-encode if the source is corrupted that require editing or in piecemeals (many small pieces usually from a Japanese paid subscription site. I receive a lot of these from users)
