Well, wouldn't it be much better for everyone if you could just post some instructions on how to encode/crop properly? People could then do it themselves also for older movies that have already been posted and it wouldn't unnecessarily clutter the thread.
The way you are rampaging around, you are discouraging people from posting. At least I know for myself that I wouldn't want to post a video if I have to expect a response from you like "Holy crap", "terrible" and an overall "Here, I did it way better than that guy".

And it brings up the question why you behave in such a way even if you are fully aware of your appearance. Do you like to piss people off or are you just unable to think of ways that would seem more respectful to others?

To answer the last question first, no I don't like to piss people off. However I don't admit I've done anything wrong if I haven't done anything wrong.

Notice how when I said I had done something wrong, like not hitting the thanks button, I actually went back and fixed that? I literally searched for every one, and if more than one person had uploaded the same video, because I couldn't remember which one I had downloaded from, I thanked them both to cover my bases. Now I'm hitting the thanks button without being told to.

I'm a very logical and outspoken person. If you rip and upload or just upload a video then I'm going to thank you for it, but if said video is 60% black lines and only 40% video, then I'm going to say the video itself has problems.

Taking the time to prepare and upload a video is admirable, but I won't ignore the problems simply because it hurts your feelings.

And to make something clear, I already tried helping one of you. Scott402 and I spoke to each other several times through a PM and I tried to help him with his video problems. I helped him because he was nice enough to send me a private message about it.

I have absolutely no wish to help you, especially since there are numerous guides and FREE programs that work leaps and bounds better than the programs you have to pay for.

Under normal circumstances I'm always happy to help people, but twice now my videos have been met with someone insulting me.

I'm doing this because when I see a problem I try to fix it. I'm only trying to make things easier for the people downloading from this topic, seeing as I'm one of them.

As to be a matter of fact, I've come across many instances in this topic where anything other than "Thank you! You're like a God to me!" was met with scorn. I don't have to do any of this, I just prefer quality over quantity and have gone to great lengths doing my research and reading guides to achieve just that.

As for your first response, has it occurred to you that I couldn't say anything like that if the videos didn't have something wrong with them? I've already told myself to wait a day or two after someone posts something to even attempt to fix a video, so they can get the proper thanks and appreciation they deserve.

Considering that I'm doing this just to help out, I'm already going out of my way here just to help you keep your ego. If I don't criticize, then how will you ever know that there are other methods? What I've been doing to these videos aren't knew. They've been possible since before this topic ever began, but people are sticking with what's "convenient" and not with what's "current".

And it's not nearly as hard as it looks. The encoding time can vary, but it literally takes 5 minutes or less to fix these videos, and you've seen how small they can get without sacrificing quality.

I'm sorry, but I don't see any logical reason to stop doing this just to make you feel better. And again, I know that makes me seem like an ass. Draw your own conclusions.

But from my point of view, I have been insulted by quite a few of you and someone actually threatened to leave this website if I didn't stop. Not only that, they threatened to tell everyone it was me how caused them to go away, as if that was actually something I should be scared of.

From a logical standpoint, I have no reason to listen to anyone of you complaining about what I'm doing. You seem less threatened by the fact that I'm doing it, and more threatened by the fact that I may take some of your downloads away if people want the smaller, fixed version over the original.

So to any of the people who contribute to this topic, if you actually ask me nicely then I can help you out. I've already written a detailed guide on how to do what I do and it's extremely easy to follow. This isn't a competition for me. I wouldn't mind never doing any of this again if it meant you did it yourselves.

But if you don't want to learn it, then why should I care if you I fix the problems you're apparently okay with.

After speaking with Scott402, I'll try not to be so...forward with my dislike of the quality of a video, but I'm still going to say what was wrong with it.

You seem to be easily amused, but again I have to ask: If you know that your response is way too long, why don't you shorten it? You do to this thread exactly what you are criticizing with videos. (By the way, your video posts are easily twice as long as others, don't you think you could improve on this as well?)
Post a guide. That would increase effectivity greatly. Uploaders could use it before uploading new stuff, downloaders could use it to also re-size older movies - or are you gonna re-post every movie in this thread?
And even if uploaders don't want to use it, this is fine. You don't seem to understand that these guys give you something for free that you'd otherwise have to spend a lot of money for. They paid, captured the video and uploaded it, and you complain that they could have done it better? Save your complains for situations where you pay for something.

Oh don't give me that crap. I bought games then built my own installers to make things easier for people who don't have the time to hunt down DLC and updates for a game. Over the last four years I have subscribed to over a dozen websites so I could release siterips.

I've spent money on individual movies, not JAV movies mind you, when I couldn't find them myself, and then released them. I've spent both money and time and actually went out of my way to not only make the videos smaller, but easier to get.

Not once, during that entire time, did I whine about about someone taking that content and messing around with it. Not once did I throw a fit when one of them told me I did something wrong. How the hell do you think I learned how to do this stuff in the first place?

This is the internet. It's full of people with countless opinions and personalities from all across the world. I learned a very long time ago not to whine about something simply because I have the ability to. I'm far more tolerant than that.

Complaining about this is a pointless waste of time. You're not going to get praised for everything, that's just not how things work. I think I've made it abundantly clear that being thanked for the effort and time/money you invested is not the same as being thanked for the problems.

I've been coming to this topic for a long time, and there are usually two consistent problems:

1) Video quality is iffy. Sometimes there are no actual problems, but more often than not the video has cropping issues or the audio is out of sync. There was this one video I fixed a while back called Super Sentai Accel Five that was horribly out of sync in different areas. I spent several hours fixing that problem and even had to split it into different parts. Why didn't someone else do that from the very beginning?

2) Anyone who isn't satisfied with the quality of the upload is pretty much told "Be happy with what you have or get out". And if the person pushes the issue their posts suddenly vanish. Hell, this topic even has a "No Requests" policy which is enforced by insults and ridicule if they even dare to try.

What's the point of spending all this time and money on something when the end result is a damaged video? I mean come on, these people are trying to gather quite a lot of money to buy yet another video. Shouldn't their time and money invested be respected enough to actually release a video without problems?

Say what you want, I'm just trying to help here, and if you can't take a little criticism then the internet is the absolute wrong place you want to be.

Of course, the odds of my posts getting deleted or having my account banned is actually significantly high. So if I keep refusing to play nice and do things the more convenient way, I might actually anger the wrong person and I won't be able to post anything anyway.

Ah but I digress.

Let me just put it this way: You've spent this entire time complaining about what I'm doing, as if you have the right to, while I've been complaining about what many of you have been doing, as if I have the right to.

As soon as you're ready to stop complaining, so will I. But that doesn't mean I will stop fixing videos. If you want me to stop doing that, then have me banned from the forum somehow, or stop releasing videos you KNOW have problems and not trying to fix them yourself.

As for telling you how to do it, why the hell would I want to do that? You have this funny idea that I should take all of this crap AND help you out.

And finally, as for the length of my posts, I don't really consider detailed, single pictures, and not pictures the size of thumbnails, quite the same thing. The pictures load almost instantly, while most of the videos in this topic have no screenshots at all, forcing people with slow internet connections to download a video that likely has problems.

It may just be me, but showing them that my videos are different is a lot more important than keeping them in the dark until they start the video themselves.

Anyway, you don't actually HAVE to read my posts, and I'm going out of my way to make sure the people I don't agree with are getting the thanks and appreciation they deserve before I post my videos. I'd like you to think of how many people would actually do that when they're getting so much crap for helping out.
