Hey tylaw24 it's just as redrooster says. I would say about 90% of all the movies here are split using a program such as HJsplit. When you download the files you can't play them in any player until you combine them with the same program. In my case I use HJsplit again. The prgram is free just google it then give it a shot on this one if you like.

y:Normally, you can't play such files with extention like "001", "002"... directly! Try combining them into one playable file with "HJSplit".

Easy! For movies split as .001, .002, etc, use 7z to unpack the .001 file and get the whole movie in one file.

Really? All the movies I downloaded that are in ".001 .002 ..." format can be unzip by 7z. Also 7z can be used to split mivies into ".001 .002 ..." format.

Well, I unzipped all movies I downloaded with 7z as long as they are in .001, .002, etc format. Some of them are claimed by the uploader to be split with HJsplit, it doesn't matter, works fine. 7z can also be used to split a movie into .001, .002, etc format simply by using the "split to volumes" function with the compressing level at "store". One of my upload is split by 7z:

Actually, if you use 7z to pack a big files into small volumes, you will get the resulting file extension of .001, .002, .003 ... according to how many volumes in total.
