I am a huge fan of Japanese women, idols or otherwise! I think that Japanese women are the most beautiful and sexy in the world! That being said I have a question why so many Japanese girls have "bad" teeth? The majority that I've seen on DVD's/torrents/ etc. with the most beautiful faces and bodies are in serious need of dental work!
Can someone answer this ? for a slow thinking American?

I believe it is called snaggle teeth, and are regarded as cute, (that is what I was told)

coolkevin- - - Thanks for getting back to me! It's a little off setting when you see this gorgeous girl with a fantastic body and then they smile and their teeth are going every which way! Major stars like Mikie Hara, Saaya Irie, and Ai Shinozaki have such beautiful teeth, I wonder if the cost to fix them is beyond the typical model's pay scale?

The answer is may be in the third molar (so-called wisdom teeth) depending on how they grow (speed, direction), it seems that races or ethnic groups are unequally affected, and females more than males.

In the cases where the thrid molars growth perpendicularly to the others, slowly pushing them (from both sides, right and left), it's easy to imagine the result of that constant pressure after several years.

"Perfection" is something very subjective, nature just tries to make things functionable, not aesthetic.

Welcome. Nature and culture are often in conflict. The most "perfect" teeth (according to Western standards) sometimes get (or got, because it becomes seldom owing to cultural changes) drastic treatments, like

    or

that exists in Bali, Sumatra, some parts of Africa, etc.

It is often associated to rituals performed during ceremonies to acquire the status of adult. We should not judge them in a negative way ;)

    lol

Black Teeth from the past was possibly more due to rotting teeth, and Queen Elizabeth was reported to having a very sweet tooth, and reportedly having rotting teeth that was black, black cosmetics is easier to hide rotting teeth rather than white

as for getting a BJ from a woman from the Mentawai tribe, forget it

In rural Asia, blackening of teeth still exists (among traditional societies), use of charcoal during the process, but mainly through betel chewing.

ShogunXXX- - - -I would never judge these Japanese young ladies or any young ladies, but just pointing out the difference between cultures. In the USA parents of young teens that have crooked teeth on 2nd set can't wait to put braces on so they'll straighten out. Spending a small fortune to fix up their children.

A lot of peer pressure to have good teeth in the USA, (another side effect of social media). Nothing wrong with good dental hygiene though. Dentistry is one of the "A" professions and a lucrative one. A good dentist is rarely a poor dentist.

Personally I like the girls teeth both ways but I admit I am more used to the straight teeth look. Saayas' teeth look great to me (everything else doesn't look to bad either):

Agree with you Ceewan, it seems such an obsession in that country, like a purpose in life. "another side effect of social media", the same could be said about the shaving industry or razor blades dictatorship, fighting every hair. That's okay to remove them on legs for women for instance, but pubic hairs ? Why women should have pussies that looks like those of preteens ? The "hygiene argument" is not valid, everyone takes showers, so ?

Especially if one gets caught between your teeth. I mean it is an awkward moment, stopping what one is doing to remove some floss. Actually trim is more practical than shaved when it comes to the genital area and that goes for both sexes.
