If this was about their morality it'd have been forbidden right from the start. Porn is still controversial in a lot of places and they want to do business everywhere without having to deal too much with local laws or various frivolous lawsuits. Plus porn providers are some of the most litigious companies in the copyright business right now since they don't get the same sympathy/cooperation as mainstream media does. They're just pragmatic businessmen who wants as little trouble as possible, It's another victim of the "think of the children" mentality, so seemingly popular with religious US middle-class zealots(at least if the internet is to be believed ;)).

They're self-censoring because they don't want to be accused of being childpornography peddlers or whatever other excessive accusations the morally "righteous" crusaders can come up with.
