The following is all speculation while you wait for a response from the only person qualified to truly answer your question.

I think that the reason redrooster is including all DDL links is because pretty much all of them do one of two things for uploaders who attract visitors to the service:
(1) give them money (hence "cashlinks"), or
(2) reward them with account bonuses

RapidShare and MegaUpload do #2. They reward their biggest uploaders with discounts. This is why you currently see so many people who will upload hentai to RS and MU even though there are already plenty of well-indexed RS and MU links for those stories. What I mean is,

March 5, 2007: johndoe uploads the fictitious Agoo Caloo to RapidShare

May 20, 2007: if you go to an RS or MU indexer like 4chan's /rs/ , you will discover that there are somewhere between 2 and 5 different uploads of Agoo Caloo

March 5, 2008: one year later, johndoe's link still works, but now there are well over 50 different RS hits for Agoo Caloo. One of these newer hits was created by peterk, the first person to post Agoo Caloo on Akiba-Online. Anybody who uses Akiba's search function will get a hit for peterk's thread. And yet ...

March 5, 2009: one year after this, I can promise you that one to two people will have uploaded the exact same story to a new RapidShare url and will have posted a duplicate thread here on Akiba-Online, even though we have no need for it because peterk's link still works just fine (and so too does johndoe's, the original person who uploaded it for the Western world!!).

How about enterupload.com? I've seen it recently in direct download forums. It normally just redirects you other ad sites, even worse it brings up the "your computer contains spyware, click ok to run free spyware scan". Thats far worse than sitting through 5 seconds of linkbucks advertising

May I request a re-evaluation of uploadjockey.com? A recent post here on AO (http://www.akiba-online.com/forum/sh...522#post248522) sends people to uploadjockey.com, which then sends you off to a linkbucks site before you can choose the repository from which to eventually download.

I don't know if this is standard uploadjockey behaviour, but if a direct link to a banned service is not allowed, a link to another site that funnels you through a banned service is just as bad. Worse, maybe: you have to deal with more popups and pop-unders along the way.

The files listed in the AO post are available without hassle from sites like Megaupload, so it is not at all necessary to use an intermediary like uploadjockey.com...unless the person who posted it is gaining something from the linkbucks interloper. Seems like the very kind of behaviour the banned list is meant to address.

Uploadjockey does that all the time. Links to the file-hosting sites will lead to linkbunks first before proceeding to the actual file URL. I second the request for re-evaluation.

Hm, we checked the post and it took us straight to the download page. We didn't get a linkbucks redirect which is not allowed here.

From what I know, the system allows the uploader to direct an individual unto a linkbucks URL first. Linkbucks then redirects to the proper file URL. That being said, there's no way to be sure whether the uploader DID link to linkbucks first by just looking at the URL links.
One solution for this would be to report members who utilize such tactics and leave out those who don't. Just putting my 2 cents in.
