There is no final decision. You can follow the discussion here, which is more about junior idols, but also lolicon:
http://www.akiba-online.com/forum/sh...ad.php?t=15319

Still, not everyone agrees on what is "art", and there are plenty of people who would say lolicon is not art. (I think it can be artistic, though not all of it is; but that's just me)

I think it is really irrelevant if lolicon is art or not, they are fiction
cartoons made by adults for adults, and if any government thinks
has the right to tell consenting adults how they should have fun
they are bunkers.

You can now go to jail for three years in the UK for downloading
cartoons (-http://www.justice.gov.uk/news/newsrelease280508a.htm)

But lolicon remains legal in all other countries in the European Union,
besides Sweden, as far as I know.

If I was a British citizen I would be downloading Truecrypt right now and use it for whole disk encryption.

I'm going to play the devils advocate here, so I hope no-one else minds.

Sharongl: your opinion is nothing more than that, an opinion. YOU have no say in what your government does right now unless you are a ranking official that works for said govn't.

Maybe the govn't is 'bunkers' (bonkers?) however that doesn't change the fact that if you do something illegal, EVEN IF YOU think it's fine, it's still illegal. "Hey, let's go and steal all our groceries from the store! They're over-priced anyways!" If you get caught and your defense rests solely on the fact that the prices are too high, you're still in the wrong and you will STILL be charged.

And yes, the govn't DOES have it's hands on some aspects of the sexuality of it's people. Very few countries allow you to go out and have a dog fuck you in the ass. Virtually NO govn't that I know of allows you to go out and rape a girl just because she is cute and wearing a short skirt. What you might find arousing still might be illegal, sorry buddy.

The big difference between the two is that stealing groceries portraits your typical criminal, and while that is of course illegal it is not unusual or uncommon. Lolicon goes beyond that to a deeper level. i believe that most people assume that because you may enjoy lolicon that you would be some sort of a threat to society as a whole. its not that the artwork itself is the problem. but peoples assumption of the psychie of those who actually enjoy said artwork. It reminds me of a time in histories past when ones Ideals could get you stoned, hanged, burned alive, beheaded, or drowned. With My great Country America leading the way in creating laws that punish ones thinking as much as or more than ones actions, we are taking the Great Step Backward once again.

Remember that America's first amendment was put in place to protect not to protect what we like and want... but to protect what we dont like or want.

Tear off your door, that way they won't have anything to knock on.

Seriously though, the best evidence is no evidence; use TrueCrypt.
