Assuming I'm reading this correctly ...

1. What happens to the guy who's the last seed? Does he never get the password?
2. Also, how do we prove to you that we seeded it and deserve the password?
3. Finally, if you're only going to share the password with your "good friends", then what's the point in even posting it on Akiba-Online? Why not just PM your friends the material?

We already proved with Leechasd's threads that passwords were a bad idea (even if the intention was good) and that they didn't fix the problem of leeches coming in, stealing bandwidth, and refusing to seed. Leeches still did that, only now stuff was passworded.

Oh well, guess I'll find out in a second. Sitting at 31% completion right now so maybe I'm being hasty and this isn't passworded. What you wrote, though, definitely suggests it's passworded. And as someone who makes an effort to seed when he can but isn't one of your "good friends," yeah, it scares me to see that this idea has resurfaced.

EDIT: Yep. -_- Passworded as promised. Well, here's my proof that I contributed my fair share to seeding it. And twice over. (Vers #2)

well, you Sakunyuusha I have it on the nice art tries but it has not work, so will I look at this art and taste with my good friends, I have just written to scary you...
to this day I willl see and I will of course writhe the pw in each post so that everyone has it, so srr when you understand me wrong but I am only the last and i dont want to seed everything alone.

I think he means that when the seeders outnumbered the leechers by a big amount.

Well I don't think anyone will complain about that plan. I still dislike passwords, comrade , but I have to agree that there's not too much room for complaint when:

a) you do the hard work fishing this stuff out from Share,
b) you initiate the seed, and
c) all you ask in return is that people get the torrent going (instead of 食い逃げ)

I hope in the future you decide that 12 hours is usually a good enough time to see if the torrent is healthy (since the wait is KILLING me ), but even if we had to wait 48 hours it wouldn't be so bad. From the looks of it we're still going to be amongst the first in the English-speaking 'net to enjoy these gems.

The only problem I see? I don't know if this plan is going to help a torrent stay alive. Once you post the password, and once the initial rush has subsided, the torrent will probably die down to 1 or 2 seeders who will be "dedicated" for a week or two. And then the torrent will die. Like they always (99%) do. If somebody comes along later wanting the material ... you're still going to have to reseed.

I guess the good news, though, would be that even if you do reseed, if you put up a new password, it'll force people to share again. So ... hmm ... maybe this plan will work. Who knows?

one old menthod of it will be
+sell hidden post(forum mod)
+hidden post to only replyer (forum mod)
[so people at very least have to register,and then reply thank once and again]

but the quility of reply won't be high,and the bandwidth-traffic might cause problem
thing will start to get more messy*~*
but at least everyone can type at least a 5 words "thank"
